Okkervil River-7/13-Castle Clinton

Anyone catch this show? As faras free shows go this was amazing. Okkervil are one of my favorite bands and I was happy to see them at a small venue for free. Will Sheff is a great live preformer. They played a lot of Black Sheep Boy as well as my favorite early song, and it seemed the crowds favorite, Westfall. Overall it was worth the trip to the city.

I was there! they were really good. apparently, they hadn't practiced in a month or so and wanted 2 hours at sound check to practice. they got one. but it was a killer show. I will post pics later

I was there. Great show and 10x better than their gig at the Knitting Factory a few months ago. They just announced two dates at the Bowery Ballroom in October as well.
