rwrkb
so, because i make lots of mix cd's and i'm over-obsessive about music, when i was working on my thesis novel last spring i created an imaginary soundtrack to the story. here is the song list: "In The Walls" - Stellastarr"Dreams" - TVOTR"Will You Still Love Me When I Don't Love You?" - The Mr. T Experience"Crossing With Switchblades" - Scared of Chaka"Quincy Punk Episode" - Spoon"Teenage Lobotomy" - The Ramones"War is Peace, Slavery is Freedom, May All Your Interventions be Humanitarian" - Propaghandi"The Price Tag On My Soul" - Post Stardom Depression"Something Against You" - Pixies"Skulls" - Misfits"Losers of the Year" - Pinhead Gunpowder"What Do I Get" - The Buzzcocks"That's Entertainment" - The Jam"Do Not Go Quietly Unto Your Grave" - Morphine"Waiting Room" - Fugazi some of these songs/bands are directly mentioned in the story; for instance, "Skulls" is mentioned as the man character's favorite song and he frequents a bar where a Ramones cover band plays on Friday nights. songs that aren't mentioned in the story are here because of the way they seem to fit various scenes. bjorn_skurj
I take it you're writing a historical novel about the Napoleonic era.

Hope the writing project 's gone well for you....-Robert. the writing is going great right now. i should have the novel complete this summer, and i also have a bunch of other projects including a manuscript of essays about my experience working in the arctic circle last summer. and you're nearly correct, bjorn. it's a historical novel that transplants John Wayne in the Napoleonic era. a bit experimental but i think it will pay off.
