Scalzunfield
This guy really hasn't hit the big time...yet. But his debut album "The Shredding Tears" is really, really good. Upon first listen, I only responded to the two tracks I'd heard prior to purchasing the album. But upon repeated listenings, it's obvious just how much work he put into the thing. He plays everything except drums on the album and, when trying to get down some of the chord changes/basslines/etc. of the songs, I'm miffed. Just some unreal talent. I'm still not entirely sold on the lyrics, but I'm sold on the album anyways. This album has drawn some comparisons to some really incredible albums (Sgt Pepper's, various Beach Boys stuff, among others). And I guess he's doing his first official all-out tour this year in support of the album and I can't wait for his Louisville performance. Bryan's My Space - Listen to "Blood Club" and "Ceiling On The Wall." Those two got me hooked.Official Site Tour Dates:May 28 2007 Pianos New York, New YorkMay 31 2007 Grog Shop Cleveland, OhioJun 1 2007 Elbo Room Chicago, IllinoisJun 4 2007 Rotture Portland, OregonJun 5 2007 High Dive Seattle, WashingtonJun 6 2007 Elbo Room San Francisco, CaliforniaJun 8 2007 Safari Sam's Los Angeles, CaliforniaJun 9 2007 Knitting Factory Los Angeles, CaliforniaJun 10 2007 Hollywood Alley Mesa, ArizonaJun 11 2007 GTFUradio.com Los Angeles, CaliforniaJun 13 2007 Mohawk Austin, TexasJun 14 2007 The Cavern Dallas, TexasJun 15 2007 Eighth Street Taproom Lawrence, KansasJun 16 2007 Luna Music Indianapolis, IndianaJun 16 2007 Radio Radio Indianapolis, IndianaJun 18 2007 Daytrotter.com Rock Island, IllinoisJun 19 2007 Ear X-Tacy Louisville, KentuckyJun 19 2007 The Pour Haus Louisville, KentuckyJun 20 2007 12th And Porter Nashville, TennesseeJun 21 2007 Star Bar Atlanta, GeorgiaJun 23 2007 Velvet Lounge Washington DC, WashingtonJun 24 2007 Manhattan Room Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaJun 25 2007 Hyperlink Cafe Richmond, VirginiaJun 27 2007 Middle East Boston, Massachusetts
