twever
New member and first post. Anyway, getting totally fired up now for the outdoor Duluth, MN show Aug. 14 at Bayfront Park. It's a great venue adjacent to Lake Superior and the harbor. Saw Dylan (homecoming for Bob) and Paul Simon there a few years back (a most impressive setting and night). Wilco played indoors here last July '06 for the first time in Duluth and here they are again the following summer. What a deal for northern MN!!

markvan
oops. obviously my first post also. I'm thinking about traveling to Duluth for the show from N. IL. I too saw Dylan/Simon there in '99 and would love to see Wilco there. If any Duluthians would be so kind as to recommend decent accomodations I would be gratiful. fUZZ
I'll be there too! Very excited about seeing Wilco out of doors. Any tips re:sightlines etc with this venue? We are driving up from St. Paul and stayin at the Holidaze Inn DT. I'm assuming it's walking distance but any tips would be helpful.

There are nice hotels in Canal Park, and also a Radisson and Holiday Inn - all walkable to the park - and a Sheraton (not so walkable). There is plenty to do including getting out on Lake Superior, Park Point, going up the shore, the Lakewalk, and hanging in Canal Park.
stmosquito
Two of my favorite things in this life...Duluth and Wilco. Experiencing them both at the same time will undoubtedly be terrific. I'm counting down the days.
