cryptique Posted July 9, 2008 Share Posted July 9, 2008 I'm not sure that would be my choice for the best display of Mitchell's prowess, but he was a mind-blowing drummer. He actually sounds a bit restrained on that track -- though his fills do work perfectly for the song. A dark horse nominee from me as "best thing put to record by any drummer, ever" (rock genre, anyway) would be Mike Musberger's work on "How She Lied By Living" by the Posies. Obscure song by a fairly obscure band, and maybe not the flashiest thing ever, but what his drums do for that song is unbelievable.
