victor79
So I've got a band. We're currently putting the final touches to our first L.P. which is mixed as I write by George Shilling whose previous work includes Teenage Fanclub, Primal Scream, My bloody Valentines, Bernard Butler, Blur...Over the years we've opened for band such as Yo La Tengo, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and we're about to play with Mark Olson of The Jayhawks. As I'm currently finishing writting L.P. #2, which is already a fair part of our live set, I was wondering how I could reach record-destroyer-in-chief Jim O'rouke and see how (with the help of a higher power, or if sell one of my kindey) he could spread his magical touch on one of our future recordings.I've tried the Drag City website for a contact but found nothing. So If anybody's got a clue about how to reach his management or something. Thanks in advance.
LouieB
I realize this is none of my business, but that hasn't stopped me from commenting on stuff before (nor will it again.) I just looked at the Drag City website and there is tons of contact information there, but as you point out nothing specific for Jim O'Rouke. Could it be he doesn't want to contacted?? Just a guess here..... It says that if the booking agent is not listed that Drag City does the booking and lists an email. Did you try that? booking@dragcity.com Did that work? Did you get a response?? Did you Google him specifically? Did you contact Wilco's management for this information (I doubt they will give it to you, but you could try...)?? Did you post a notice on HIS fansite? Not sure what you are looking for here. I would doubt any fan, O'Rourke, Wilco or otherwise can get you straight to him in Japan.
