Mrs. Peel
Following the initial success Pat Spurgeon's kidney transplant 13 years ago and the subsequent transplant failure, a new documentary, "D tour" is in the works that chronicles Pat's search for a living organ donor. The film reflects on Pat's choice to keep touring while working toward the band's goals, the absolute need to perform dialysis daily, and the focus on his health being top priority while on the road. At an even deeper level, D tour addresses issues with the healthcare system, the lack of affordable insurance, the importance of organ donation, and much, much more. D tour also features live performances from Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), Nada Surf, Ryan Miller, John Vanderslice, The Moore Brothers, and of course, Rogue Wave. Directed by Jim Granato, the film is a labor of love both creatively and financially. A brand new song by Rogue Wave (with Japonize Elephants) called "Positive Hero Worship" is a free download to anyone who donates to the film at www.dtourmovie.com. To find out more about the film, see the trailer, and find out how to become an organ donor, visit www.dtourmovie.com.
