howfast
discovered them this year after they announced they would be joining Merge you can listen to their record at Merge and here is a podcast of interviews and performances I am a fan http://wunc.org/tsot/archive/sot0720c10.mp3/view http://www.mergerecords.com/store/store_detail.php?catalog_id=710 If you take the swinging 60s pop of Herman’s Hermits, mix in an 80s anthem from The Smiths and turn up the atmospheric noise, you’d have something like the background for Stuart McLamb’s witty lyrics and power vocals. McLamb is the frontman for the Raleigh-based band, The Love Language. The music is melodic, driving, messy and catchy. The band recently released their second album, “Libraries,” on Durham label Merge Records. They’ve been wowing critics and crowds, gracing the cover of newspapers and signing up for star-studded tours. Before they head out on the road again, they join host Frank Stasio in the studio to play live.
