Tweedy Bristol 9/20/14

I totally loved Tweedy's set at Bristol Rhythm and Reunion.  Tweedy seemed in a great mood, and joked around a bit.  The band was totally rockin.  I had no idea what to expect of them, but they were great.

 

Typical setlist structure of the other 'solo' shows: a big batch of the new songs with the full band, and then just him and the guitar,and then the band coming back out. I was too caught up in the moment to keep a setlist, but the solo acoustic songs were mind blowing.  i know he played:

 

-Passenger Side

-Pecan Pie

-Please tell my brother

-New Madrid

-I am trying to break your heart

-Jesus etc

-Hesitating Beauty

 

and with the band after that played:

-Give back the key to my heart

-California Stars

 

and a good many more.  it was a 75 minute set.

if i remember more, i'll post it later.

saw the 2 Wilco shows at Lockn, and then this Tweedy show....it was a pretty good way to end the summer.
