Whew. I can't wait.

Wilco should call it quits only when every single person stops listening to Wilco, i.e. never.
This is a humorous thread.
Agree fully.
Bands are allowed to make not so great records. Wilco will be around for a very long time. Jeff Tweedy's talent is not just going to evaporate. C'mon people.

Its killing me that I missed this show. Saw them the last time they played the Ryman and Jeff did "Acuff Rose" solo, acoustic, edge of the stage. I still get goose bumps thinking about it.
Question: Blood of the Lamb? Where does that song come from?

Manchester Orchestra. Solid live show.

The hatred these guys have for Florida is bordering on psychopathic.
Hell, Mobile is almost in FLA. A chip shot.
-
That is so cool! I love Jeff Tweedy!!

A Ghost Is Born is one of my favorite records of all time and probably my favorite Wilco record, to date.

There is a pretty decent blog entry from Rolling Stone with video of Jeff talking to the camera about the heat three years ago:

Yeah, thanks that was great.

The Dexateens from Tuscaloosa Alabama. thedexateens.com. Latest record produced by Patterson Hood of Drive By Truckers. Really awesome band!!!

This is like asking classic rock fans if they've ever heard Clapton!
:rotfl
Hilarious and true!!

"Hate It Here" and "Patient With Me".
I don't think this will ever be my favorite Wilco record BUT, I this could change in a year. I listen to lots of Wilco and there are days when certain songs hit me like they never did before. In the last year, I've been hanging on to "Dash 7" and "Poor Places".
Can't wait to hear the new songs in Atlanta!!

The generosity of this band is amazing. I love the DVD, the bonus content....fucking everything. I love this band.

Fucking WOW. Thanks for sharing! Can wait for the Birmingham show.

I don't hear good things about the Tutwiler as far as clean rooms, etc. It's under new management now, and may be better. My suggestion is the Holiday Inn/Redmont -downtown, I think on 5th or 4th Aveneue North. That is where Wilco stayed the last time they were in Birmingham. And yeah, walking downtown after like 10pm isn't really a good idea. The Redmont is not far from the Alabama probably a few short blocks, take a cabl or drive.

I hate to do this to ya but after seeing the favorite song list, i felt inclined to make a favorite line post:
"Oh distance has a way of making love understandable"
-Radio Cure

I thought the show was amazing. I've seen them 4 times over the last two years and I really think this one stands out.
How those boys can ROCK. I had goose bumps during "At Least That's What You Said".
Can't wait for it to show up on etree!!!

really...I checked ticketmaster and it was pulling up section Y
That's row Y of the main level. There's plenty of seats left in the balcony. Not a bad seat in the house, very nice room. Wilco will sound awesome.
COME TO HUNTSVILLE!
