After the death of Pigpen, the Grateful Dead pretty much played the same mix of songs from about 1973 to the time Brent Mydland passed away in 1990 . They kicked ass in the process. Very Nice! I have a suggestion for those of you that love to whine about the setlists. Stay home and monitor the song selection from the comfort of your couch. In fact, you could set your entire Wilco collection on shuffle, report to us what songs came up and truly enjoy yourselves in absolute bliss with no frustrations. Please keep in mind that Jeff's got a million things he'd rather do than to play rock'n'roll for you.

Cautious but very solid. The new songs are steadliy improving since the Spanish shows. Those of you seeing them later in the summer are in for a treat when they get rolling on these. People love to bitch about audiences on this board. We traveled from Colorado for this show and it was one of the best audiences I have ever been a part of. Pomona, you, the Fox Theatre and In-N-Out Burger rock!!!! From my perspective it appeared that Jeff was having a blast up there.

I saw R.E.M. there on the Life's Rich Pageant Tour, Fall '86. Awesome Buck and Stipe solo encore of So. Central Rain to end the show.

No, but I heard they were atrocious as always. Someone who was there said they were the absolute low point of the show on Sunday. It's funny how when Uncle Tupelo split I always thought Son Volt would be the one to really hit stardom. Completely irrelevant and who cares about my opinion but the two Son Volt shows I have seen rank down there in the worst two shows I have ever seen in my life. I am not exaggerating when I say they are down there with Stone Temple Pilots (the third worst show). I was so pissed when I went to see SV a second time....I should have known better.

They absolutely loved it. I've never seen anything like the dancing my five year old daughter displayed during Spiders. I'll never forget that! When I found out they were done at 8 it seemed like the perfect road trip since the kids love'em.

You must not have made any effort whatsoever. A band member got me a ticket into the show and I was left to fend for myself as far as seating. As soon as people started to stand I walked up and was on the second row for the remainder of the show. It was the easiest that move has ever been at any show I have attended in my life. Also, I hung out with that particular band member for an hour or so after the show and he said it was one of his favorite gigs he has ever played and loved the crowd and the setting. Yet another fantastic show at another kick-ass venue. I wish I had known it was BYOB! I was wondering why everyone was walking up with coolers and was curious how they were going to check all of them at the gate. When I walked through with my backpack unchecked I quickly figured it out. A couple of locals explained the venue was a piece of crap until a renovation close to a year ago.
