  1. I just can't get over how great it is that I don't know what is coming next. Its like when I put the Wilco catalog on shuffle on my iPod. Any album/b-side is possible! Fantastic!

(Sorry if I am going on and on but I just think this is great!)

live music is a gas dude. you should spend more time checking it out.

  2. A lot of negative posts by people with fewer than thirty posts. Honestly I like the CD probably about as much as Being There. Much like Being There, I'm going to give it several listens and enjoy myself thoroughly. I don't even own a copy of Being There anymore, I guess it got stolen. That's probably what I would say about SBS ten years from now if it were to have come out while I was in high school.

Maybe this CD is as great as the last few, but come on. Wilco's music really has just been getting better and better since they started. If they would have topped AGIB, I would be thinking JT sold his soul to the devil.

As far as Nels Cline goes... He's pretentious. But Jay Bennett, he's a pretentious douche bag. Nels is a polished guitar player, Jay's the fat guy that only looks like he's employed at a local guitar store--turns out he just no where else to go.

There is no question that Wilco has slowly, but surely become a super band. Collecting some of the best musicians out there. And to have the 6 of them sit around and write/record this album combining their knowledge of music and song writing--then let me listen in for fifteen bucks. Well that ain't half bad.

This post was written over a span of about 30 minutes. So I apologize for my detached thoughts.

you're the pretentious douchebag if you think that somebody has to wait until they have "x" amount of posts before they've earned enough credibility on this lameass board to come out and state an opinion.

    go, like, fuck yourself brah.

not to mention, your opinion sucks and i couldn't disagree more.

  3. i'll be the first to admit that jay's somewhat of a creepy dude, but i never had a problem with any of his contributions musically. stage antics can be a turn-off, but at the end of the day, it's just not worth caring about.

it's hard to blame nels for his playing.. the dude's just doing what he's good at.

it's just a shame that it's been allowed to go on in such excess.

  4. i kept waiting for something to happen, and it never did.

sbs is flat, linear, and boring. the only thing that they could have done to make it worse would have been to hire a pro to lay down some killer jazz flute licks to compliment nels' generous offering of noodle orgies and cluster notes.

needless to say, i am very disappointed with the album.
