where can I find this show in Stereo FM?

  2. I won't be home tonight for the Wilco stream. :realmad Can someone record this and me a PM or post it online to download. I'd really love to hear this show. And does anyone have night 4 & 5 STREAMS of the Chicago shows. I'll pay you $4.64 if anyone can do this for me. thanks guys.

  3. My oh my. So Wilco has cancelled their SOLD OUT show in Charleston in favor of an appearance on Saturday Night Live. Tisk, tisk boys. I could be wrong, but I thought you were all about your fans. I think I recall a line in one of your songs.....something about "Half is you, half is me." I guess that doesn't apply if money and noteriety are involved though, huh?

I also find it interesting that Wilco hasn't had the descency to send out an email to their fans the way they usually do when they cancell a show. They don't even mention on their fancy website that the show has been cancelled. I think I know why. It's because the announcement would have to go something like this: "Wilco has cancelled it's sold out show in Charleston (which would have been full of long time and dedicated fans) because.......well........the band got a better offer that involved a fat paycheck and an egocentric appearance on national television.

Congratulations Jeff. This marks the first time in your career that someone could make a very strong argument that you have sold out.

"Half is me, half is me. Half is me, half is me. Half is me, half is me."

It's okay though Jeff. I understand I am just a fan. I'm just a fan.

You know what makes me mad?

Dr. Pepper Gum, The fact that Crystal Pepsi no longer exist, The Atlanta Braves, and Mayonnaise.

  4. I don't want to come off sounding like a twit or anything, but do you have any further information that you could share to confirm that it was not professionally recorded?

Straight from 2 band members...no knowledge of the show being recorded. And of course, they would have known about it if it was. Sucks though.

  5. the dexateens will be playing voodoo fest as well. it's usually a pretty fun weekend in nola.

did you just say DEXATEENS???? dude.....they rule.

I'm a TTown guy myself! When are they playing around here again?

  6. I'm new here, found the board after looking for reviews/comment on the Chastain show.

That little kid who knew all the words was my 7 year-old son, Kobe. He does indeed know all the words to all the songs - do I sound proud? Yes, we were invited backstage by Pat's sister. Much of his family was in the fifth row behind us. They were so thoughtful to invite us!

Wilco was really wonderful with my son. I'm sure you all know that the guys are exceptionally down-to-earth. They posed for pictures with him, and spent time speaking with him. They were just so NICE to him!

I agree with the comments about the rain - somehow, it made the experience that much more memorable!

I was there backstage and saw you guys...your kid is great!

  7. I had a great time at the show as well, but it seemed that the volume was a little low. Did anyone else feel the same? I know they have to be careful in the area as it is residential, but I was really close and thought it was soft, I can't imagine that it would sound that great from the back of the venue. Nevertheless, it was a blast and was well worth my cell phone getting fried from the water that accumulated in my pocket. (I needed a new one anyway)

I was noooooooot happy at all about the volume! That definitely sucked. Maybe it was the venues P.A. I heard Bonnaroo was bangin' loud. And the majority of the people there came to talk. I could barely hear Jeff sometimes because of the low volume mixed with soo many damn people talking. All in all, a great show in the rain...but definitely some downsides.

I totally loved how they opened up with Either way...perfect opener for a rainy show!

That little kid that knew all the words was cool too. I saw him backstage...he was the rockstar backstage. haha!

  8. what an AWESOME show!! that was the best set at bonnaroo imo, even with some technical mess ups!! Of all the shows I saw, Wilco was able to keep the attention of the crowd the best ~ during every other set, the crowd was constantly moving to other places mid-set.

I didnt even notice that it was 100 degrees and i was covered in sweat and dust.... (just kidding, i totally noticed, but didn't care) I loved Jeffs recognition of our melting out there (maynard had to tell us how lovely his AC was during the tool set), and the whole band looked like they were having as much fun as we were! Pat's craziness was hilarious, Glenn is a fuckin machine, Nels is unbelievable! GAHHH that was awesome, can't wait for the shows tomorrow in ATL!!!!!

DId Tool blow everyone away? Let me know how their show went!

  9. Very excited! Me and the family will be in pit, 2nd row. It would be nice to meet some of you VC folks. What are the signs that identify a VCer?

Head bandanna and eye patch? :pirate

The truly hyper fans who look like this? :hyper

    Heavy drinkers? :beer

Perhaps we can meet somewhere in the venue before start?

Representing BAMA, Pit, Row 13! I'll be there with a really cute blonde!
