  1. Some of the best at XPN (e.g. Matt Reilly) sit on the bench while Michaela Majoun and Helen Leicht clutter the airwaves.

yeah whats up with that? Matt Reilly is such a great DJ, when he first came on board my friends and I always looked forward to when he was on. Indie Hit Parade was a thousand times better than Y-Rock on XPN.

  2. A 630MB Xvid version taken from the high-def broadcast. Sendspace has a 300MB limit, so the file was broken into 3 200MB zip files which extract to create the video file.

    Worked for me.

So I downloaded them and extracted the file and I can't get it to play correctly. All I get is the audio and no video. I put it through AVBIcodec and it told me i needed the Xvid codec and I then installed that and still nothing. Any suggestions?

  3. as far as Gram Parsons/Flying Burrito Brothers releases I have the following

    Gram Parsons-"Cosmic American Music"

    Gram Parsons-"GP"

    Gram Parsons-"Grievous Angel"

Gram Parsons and The Fallen Angels-"Live 1973"

Gram Parsons-"Warm Evenings, Pale Mornings, Bottled Blues"

Gram Parsons and The Flying Burrito Brothers-"Sleepless Nights"

The International Submarine Band-"Safe at Home"

The Flying Burrito Brothers-"Gilded Palace of Sin/Burrito Deluxe"

and I did some digging and i do have a copy of the Avalon shows and they play like shit, oh well I'll be passing up on this release.

Live with the Fallen Angels is definitely worth having......starts a bit rocky and gets much better.

This album is a must have, so good!

  4. The crowd was horrible. Especially that group of assholes in the front that pissed Jeff off. And there weren't great sightlines, the place reminded me of a roadside bar, just wasn't great for a show IMO. My ex who went to the show with me met Wilco last month at the Denver show and they talked about the Starland Ballroom and they agreed that the venue was crap, lol Nels thought it was one of the shadiest venues he's played with Wilco

  5. Philly has great shows. of Montreal is playing the 11th, Animal Collective just played, Yo La Tengo is playing on the 19th I believe. There isn't a shortage of good shows in Philly. So I don't think its a question of Philly not getting good bands, because thats just isn't true, its just Wilco is skipping the city.

  6. last night looked amazing! Hate that I missed it.

I will be at tonight's show and am so anxious. Haven't seen Wilco in over two years.

And "honestgabe"... how funny about your ex-girlfriend. I live in Breckenridge and have been trying to find someone to go to Wilco with me! My usual Wilco show partner is out of town right now. If only I had gotten on this board sooner...

hey if you have myspace you should befriend her. http://www.myspace.com/anjellag

  7. Pics?

The only pic she has sent me so far is of the cab of the truck where she slept last night taken from her cellphone camera. She'll be getting pictures with her digi tonight I think. If she sends me any pics I'll be sure to upload them.

  8. I obviously didn't go to this show because I'm in Pennsylvania. But my exgirlfriend moved out to Breckenridge, CO this summer and we're best friends. I was supposed to fly out and go to the show with her, but I couldn't. Anyway, so she had to go by herself, she bought tickets for both nights and didn't get a hotel room. So where did she end up sleeping? Um, in Wilco's fucking equipment truck! I'm ridiculously jealous, was able to go backstage last night and she is going backstage tonight as well. That girl has some crazy luck at shows.
