hmm, pretty nice stuff from what i've found online (not much )
-
what? 5 hours?! They'll have to give me a seat if they want to play that long!

I've tried some searches, and browsed the first 5 or so pages of threads and it would seem that a large amount of my favourite current bands have never been mentioned here. In some respects that isn't terribly surprising as they aren't very Wilco-like, on the other hand though if you're interested in something different then these bands are definitely for you... Boris - a Japanese Rock/Metal band. They're all over the place with their records genre-wise, from Hardcore Punk to Classic Rock to Drone/Ambient. An obvious starting point would be Pink as it covers most of that ground within one al

Cuomo Demos to Include Songs from "Songs From The Black Hole"
alii replied to bsr8j's topic in Someone Else's Song
Songs from the Black Hole is no better than any of their recent offerings, truth be told. I was a huge Weezer fan for a period, and downloaded all the bootlegs. "Summer Songs 2000" was also revered for quite a time. One thing's for certain, Rivers has a HUGE catalogue of decent unreleased material. I'm not sure that much of it could be classified as vital though. -
There's no good reason not to talk about the tour cancellation, heck some fans might not even know about it, so this topic should really be stickied until the date of the last cancelled show. Anyway, the deal is that Wilco have cancelled: 2nd Nov Manchester 3rd Nov Birmingham 4th Nov Newcastle 5th Nov London The official word is: 'We are sorry to announce that due to a scheduling conflict we've had to cancel the UK portion of the November tour...We regret any inconvenience this causes and hope to schedule new UK dates soon.'

no, but there are a large amount of people who for some reason (extreme fanboyism?) cannot accept that Wilco are even slightly in the wrong. I like Wilco's music n all, but I owe them nothing, and so I'll speak my mind when they shit on me. If you make a commitment you should stick to it, especially when it's the people that pay your wages that you're gonna piss off. The *only* reason that I'd accept without issue would be "personal reasons". I'd also accept "exhaustion" or illness/injury if it came with a promise to reinstate the gigs within 6 months or so. Anything else is just plain insu

@ gogo true enough, but it'll cost me
-
Well, actually WIlco owe me a show since I paid them
-
8 times?! Maybe i'm moving to the right city then
-
Perhaps, but it's unfair of Wilco to give such a lame reason for cancelling shows without at least promising some kind of replacement tour. There aren't many lines of business where it's seen as acceptable to treat your customers in this way...

wtf? No, I hadn't thought about Thanksgiving as a possible excuse, and I can't believe anyone could see it as such. There are FOUR months between the last gig in November and their first gigs in Australia next year. FOUR MONTHS. The UK tour would have taken them one week, or two if they wanted to do some sight seeing. Anyway, a rescheduling wouldn't help me as, like I said earlier, I'm leaving the country. Do they ever play Hamburg?

are you trying to make me more mad? No, no wind up here, just a frustrated, pissed off fan.

I love that Glenn can be bothered to play on Bird's under-card, but can't be bothered to tour the UK any more. That man's got his priorities right. /sarcasm

Hi all, I've just found out that the show (in Manchester) is cancelled. It it weren't for me telling a friend "you could come too", who then attempted to get a ticket, I would have in all probability turned up for the gig on Friday. My brother bought me my ticket straight from the Academy box office (yay no booking fees or postage), so no emails for me. So I just turned up here to look for reasons for the cancellation and any further news, but it seems there's nothing here but a weak explanation and a bunch of antagonising douchebag Americans. Cheers guys. I feel sick at this news. Seeing

Just a quick question: when they play Less Than You Think live, are the ten minutes of feedback included or not?
