  1. The show was awesome! Since I bought tickets back in April I've been counting the days until this show, and Wilco didn't disappoint. Just awesome! For me, what sticks out most (NOT in order of the show list) was Side with the Seeds, Shake it Off, You are My Face, Walken, Spiders, Impossible Germany (loved the green and red lights combo effect!), California Stars (one of the encores), Poor Places (right before Spiders, I think - really well handled - even better than from Kicking Television, and the extended distortion sequence in Spiders led into a clapping thing, and then they brought the
  2. I'm going to the Merriweather concert. Originally, I was going to leave around noon and check out a home audio/video store based there called Gramophone (anybody know of it? Is it worth checking out?) and make a day trip of things. But then my wife has to go into work at 3, and so we can't leave until 4pm. We're coming from Bristow, VA, and we'll be coming at the height of rush hour traffic. Hopefully we won't miss any of Low's performance. Hopefully... I'm seated in the center in row U near the sound board center thingee... This is my wife's 7th anniversary present. http://forums.viachi
  3. For what it's worth, my 2 cents... KT Jeff's solo DVD tracks (Sunken Treasure) YHF SBS BT AM ST AGIB MA1 MA2 Love the live stuff. Addicted to the live stuff. The live cut of the 9:30 concert in DC last October was sweet (especially the encore stuff)! I like the new album. It's "cleaner" than their latest stuff. But it gets me excited as a template, a jumping-off point for what will be done for these songs live. The Side with the Seeds song is really growing on me (you have to get past the opening minute or so...). Curious to see Nels (yes?) grind out that solo on the tour...
  4. I've listened to it about three times now. Loved it all on the first listen (it was like an early Easter Egg hunt!), but by listen #3, I pretty much find myself coming back to the first 4 tracks, Walken, and On and On and On. Maybe it's just me, but nothing feels like "old-school" Wilco. But that's OK with me. I bought the CD/DVD thing. Got the t-shirt, too. Hope they come back to D.C. area at some point. I'd hate to have to drive down to Charlotte or up to Philly.
