  1. Does anyone know much about the venue Wilco is playing at in Denton? I am trying to figure out exactly where they are playing. They aren't playing in the "armadillo" off 35 are they? On Google maps it looks like it is in a building closer to Fry Street. Thanks for your help, can't wait!

  2. Just got an e-mail from Wilco saying they did not print a poster for the Memphis show. I wonder how they decide which shows and why they wouldn't print one for Memphis when it looks like they have had posters for every other show on this leg of the tour. Disappointed to say the least, there goes my streak.

  3. You would be surprised how two people can almost ruin an experience. There were two different couples at the Dallas show who almost made my wife and I move towards the back away from the crowd. I feel if you are willing to waste a day and stand in line you deserve a good spot. I am tired of the "cute girl" or drunk couple pushing their way through the crowd and stopping right in front of me. Yes there might be a very small space in front of me but I would like that space to breathe a little. I know people are going to be dancing and having fun. The occasional bump doesn't bother me. I am a little surprised how vulgar some of the comments were to you, but again I have to side with the people who were there early.

  4. Just because there is a small space to fit into doesn't mean it is okay. That is just my opinion but we had the same problem in Dallas. It is nice to not be smashed together and that doesn't start to happen until people like you decide you can worm your way to the front even though people waited in line all day. Sorry if this comes off as rude, again it is just my opinion but I think I have to side with the guys and gals yelling at you even if they might have gone about it in a better way.

  5. Noticed there isn't a poster up for the Austin show either. I wonder why they skipped those two shows. I have bought a Wilco poster for every show I have been to. I guess now I relax my obsessive-compulsive disorder and not worry about picking up a poster for every show I attend. Might pick up the tour poster to make myself feel a little better.

  6. My first thought on the Memphis show is more of a question. Was there a show poster that night? All I saw was the full tour poster and I didn’t see one up on the store site yet.

As for my review of the show: My wife and I drove in from Fort Worth for the show Saturday. We were both very excited after the great show we had seen Friday in Dallas and the fact that we had 5th row seats center. Unfortunately most of those good vibes went away once the show started.

First I was disappointed more people didn’t show up for Liam Finn. What a great show and from the looks of it the place wasn’t a quarter full. Maybe there were a lot of people up top but not many in the first few rows.

Once Wilco came on though there were two very tall men standing in front of us. I figured that is just how it was, they were able to get better tickets and besides I had a view right between them. But these two old yuppies were there to be social, talking and leaning into each other the whole time when they weren’t messing with their phones. The yuppie brothers by the way were sitting after 30 minutes still messing with their phones.

As far as the Jeff and taping, I am glad he called her out but I wish he had let it go. I don’t blame him but after a point just let it go. Ruined the whole vibe there for us in the middle of the show. And the pit did seem like a drunken mess. I know it wasn't all of you and half of them were probably the people who decided they didn't want to sit in their seats anymore and moved down. I am glad Jeff ignored the girl in the picnic table looking shirt who was dancing like an idiot the whole time. Second to the people who decided that seats numbers didn’t mean anything thanks. Because of you guys I had to fight through a sea of people who decided that they could do what they please while most others. And the couple that kept dancing and pushing my wife over who was in the aisle, if you are going to dance at least have some moves. Looked like two fish flailing around on the riverbank. You know who you are, the boy and girl wearing the matching green shirts.

Do not mean to sound negative but it was not the experience I thought it would be, especially after Dallas. The band was great, the set list even better, just a small group of people who think the rules don’t apply to them. Overall and especially the last hour or so of the show were great. Very excited they played Country Disappeared.

I was at Graceland the next morning and someone made a comment about my Wilco shirt. He said he goes to concerts all the time in Memphis. He said he couldn’t believe how rude the crowd was and was embarrassed. Again it was only a small group but they made a big impression. To end, love Memphis, love the great people I met, and Wilco still rocks. Thanks for letting me rant.

  7. I was at the Dallas show and a guy behind me kept hitting me in the back of the head all night with his elbows while video taping the show. Come on! He recorded at least half of the show. How much fun can that be anyway?

  8. Just pulled Orchestra center-right, row F for the Memphis show. We were planning on going to Memphis once the Dallas date disappeared, but I couldn't pass up on good seats like these. Glad to hear The Orpheum Theatre is a great place to see a show. I guess now we will be seeing Wilco in Dallas and Memphis. Should be a fun weekend.

  9. We came up from Texas and had a great time Saturday night. I was a little disappointed that the show was so short considering how much we paid for tickets. Being front row though was incredible. This was my first solo show and I can't wait to see another. My last complaint which may sound weird, but I was very disappointed there was no concert poster. I bought the cheap five dollar one but was wanting something a little nicer to remember my first solo show. I can not wait to hear this show when it goes up.

  10. I called in this morning and got in after about 10 minutes. I bought two $150 dollar seats. The lady said they were front row A112 and A114. I thought I read something about a seating chart floating around, does anyone know if this is true. I am going to NYC from Fort Worth for my honeymoon and I am pumped I was able to get these tickets. Never seen a solo show before, should be great.

  11. Just wanted to give my two cents about what a great show this was. My girlfriend and I drove in from Fort Worth TX and were able to see the Friday and Saturday shows. Everyone else has already said how great these shows were and I just wanted to say thanks to all the great people we met. Next time they play St. Louis we will be back.

I saw lots of guys recording, anybody heard from them? Was curious to hear how these three shows sounded.

  12. Hey Everyone,

I'm going to the Saturday night show 5/17/08 in St. Louis. This is my first time going GA for Wilco at a venue like this, so I was wondering when I should get to the venue. Did you guys have to camp out all day, or will I be fine if I show up a little before the doors open? I don't mind waiting at all if it means I can get a shot at a good spot in the first few rows.

    P.S.

I read the above posts, and I thought it would be important to note that I'm a minor, so maybe I won't be able to get in when the bar opens (?)

    Thanks a lot!

My girlfriend and I showed up at 7:45 last night and were four people back. And we didn't push our way through people like some do. Which brings me to another point, why do people feel they have to push past other people? You were there first, you probably got there early, why can't they? One guy pushed in front of me saying he was with his girlfriend. When he stopped I asked him which one was his, told me it was all a lie to get up front. Classy drunk guy. Hope you get a good spot, we are in the balcony tonight. I can only hope tonight will be as great as last night.

  13. Have two for the Sunday show in Austin. Meeting came up that I am not very happy about but would like to get them in the hands of a fan. Asking $80 for the pair, that is what they cost me. Let me know quick if you want them, first to make an offer will get them. Thanks and have fun.
