I don't think they will drop Memphis from future tours. I've been to a few odd-crowd Wilco shows in different cities. He seems to mention at least something about each odd scenario and then move on. It's usually comical and light hearted, but it can come off as rude. I think it's cool when he rants from time to time b/c sometimes it needs to be done (Oxford for example). Yeah, he took it a bit far even though the girl was being dumb. I mean the guy is grumpy and tired from touring. I still love him and the show rocked.
