One time a boy I had a crush on remembered me from an event we were both at a YEAR before because I was wearing a Wilco shirt at the event. Pretty sweet! Nothing ever happened, but it was a cool moment. Also, some band members of another one of my favorite bands sought me out after a show because they liked my Wilco shirt. Rock on! Always a good conversation piece.
