I have tickets for Wilco at Merriweather, Riot Fest (Sept) and Watkins Family (Chicago's Old Town School), looking at the Black Crowes tour which is schedule to kick off in late June and Phish tour which kicks off July. Waiting to see how those latter bands/promoters handle those. Anxious about it tbh

Thank for noting the Merriweather show. Still some good seats left.

  2. I have to give up my SS Trip next year due to a recently announced wedding.  I have a 3-night reservation at Whitcomb Summit Retreat.

It's 9 miles from the venue and all in cost was $430.  Message me if interested and I'll confirm that we can transfer the reservation.

    Thanks,

    Dave

  3. So pissed that Mr. Tweedy put politics before fans. Punishing ticket holders to make a statement sure seems selfish.

Explain to an eager young teenager the reasoning behind how this is right, and how they should feel good about the cancellation of a show they have been dreaming about since the first song stuck in their head. You all had that moment!

Consider also the positive influence that could have been gained by making a statement at the show. That is the artist as a hero. This is the artist as a coward.

I have a hard time determining sarcasm on the interwebs.

  4. I second this humble request. I have the vinyl box which comes with a DL of all the CD tracks, but it would be great to know where and when all these SWEET live versions were recorded, which presumably is info included in the digi-booklet.

I could use a little help here as well.

  5. Well this is huge news & then some...makes me really happy I opted to go all out & get those tickets to Baltimore & D.C., as well as hitting the Pittsburgh show. Wonder when the album will drop? Before the first tour date?

And it actually gave me fresh reason to go to the official website & order those two upcoming shows that they've got available on pre-order- #33 is Detroit, MI from June 5th & #34 is Washington D.C. from June 10th...

Looking at the various press releases on this, you can see each of the major sources using it's own unique pic of Jeff modeling some different & beautiful piece of guitar porn.

That's a gorgeous Rickenbacker.  Stoked for this news.

  6. You are the first person I've seen who likes Glad It's Over. IMO, worst song in the catalog. Now, the thanks I get....great song.

Meet another...I absolutely love the extra tracks from these sessions (though "Let's Not Get Carried Away" is probably my least fave), & I'm crazy about the whole soul groove that comes out on so many of the tracks from that period!!

Same here. They both get significant playtime in my Wilco rotation.

  7. I have reservations about your last post.

Will you make an announcement when your reservations have been lifted about the song in general? Or at least the studio version?

Poor Places > Reservations is such a nice way to end that album. (IMO) I mean it sincerely.

I will go you one step further, Pot Kettle Black> Poor Places> Reservations is one of the best album closers ever produced.

In less than 30 seconds, try to name another.
