  1. I respect Jay Bennett as a great musician, but if Jay is so pressed for money to pay for his surgery, why go through all of this when lawyers (good ones at least...) fees are rather high and there is no way to tell if he's going to win or lose.. It just doesn't seem like a smart thing for him to be doing right now. He should get his surgery and get healthy before he does any sort of legal action against Jeff/the band.

  2. I hate Pitchfork. They act all excited, but you know they'll give the album like a 5.8 and say: DAD ROCK DAD ROCK DAD ROCK DAD ROCK DAD ROCK.

I agree. Pitchfork is a bit biased towards ultra-indie music.. and anything by Radiohead.

  3. I am pretty sure they did it at Loolaplooza which was streamed with a live video. There isn't a You Tube of it at the moment, to best of my knowledge. There was a quicktime file of that was uploaded here after the stream but that file has been pulled.

  5. Sounds like it would be a fun read.

Here's a tale of my experience with disruptive audience members:

At the second night of the 3 Pageant shows, about halfway through the initial set (before the killer encores) a group of rather dirty hippies started dancing RIGHT in front of me. I was too scared to ask them to move for fear of getting mauled, but it really got on my nerves.

I mean don't get me wrong, I have no problem with dancing... but this was waaayy more than just dancing. they were flailing their arms and jumping up and down and blocking my view and so on and it was quite distracting. EX: :bounce8

nearly ruined the middle of the show for me. but thankfully the spirit of dance took them elsewhere and i was allowed to enjoy the remainder of a great night in peace...

  6. Studio by hundreds of miles.

EDIT: Ha - I forgot this question was, by virtue of where it was asked, about Wilco. I was answering in general. As far as Wilco, I would vote for a tie. Depends on my mood and the album. AGIB and SBS songs, in particular, are spectacular live even though I'm not entirely sold on the studio albums. But for the previous few records, I definitely prefer the studio versions.

I agree. I think it is entirely based upon the mood I am in. If I want to really rock out, I'll throw in a live recording (usually from the 08 tour). But if I am in a relaxed mood or whatever, the studio is the way to go.

    my opinion at least...

  7. It doesnt matter where you start with Wilco. I started with YHF and I love AM too.

What matters is if you like AM.

I completely agree. I started with YHF and picked up AM last summer. It's a great record for long drives and those late night summer drinking binges... :thumbup
