I'm a senior this year, and I'm certainly not "playing around." This is my toughest semester yet

that's neat, my 10 year old brother isn't much of a music fan at all. I'm trying to expose him to the various music discussed on this board, lately its been Townes Van Zandt. He hates the music, but loves saying Townes's name

I saw Blue Mountain last winter @ T.T. the Bear's Place in Cambridge, MA. The first act was a local string band called Hot Day at the Zoo. The place was packed. People were dancing and singing along. I figured by the time Blue Mountain took the stage the place would be packed to the gills. Boy, I was wrong. Hot Day at the Zoo finished their set and the place emptied out. Blue Mountain took the stage just after 11 pm and there were less than a dozen people there. I was shocked.

I always like it when someone sends me an email, and then immediately walks over to my desk to ask if I got and/or read the email, right before they recite the contents of the email.

 

I also enjoy sitting next to a guy who uses “with regards to that”, “certainly” and “per se” in every fucking sentence that comes out of his mouth - constantly. As a result of this, on more than one occasion, I have awakened from a daydream to find myself browsing Smith & Wesson’s website - completely unawares, with a credit card in my hand, and a smile on my face.

Man I hear you on that, a kid at my high school always says stuff like that, including the word "whilst." Who says "whilst," honestly. Shit is like archaic.

YHF - for obvious reasons, also was my 1st introduction to wilco along with some AGIB tracks

A.M. - has been getting the most playtime recently, love this record

Being There - probably tied with AGIB, amazing record that keeps growing on me

Summerteeth - close behind the tie of AGIB/Being There, lots of great songs

SBS - I need some growing time, but I definitely enjoy the sound here more than the ranking suggests

WTA - A few good tracks like BBN and Country Disappeared, but I haven't played it at all really since the hype around its release

I'm not getting gaps in the audio, its just super low volume for me with my comp's volume to the max - granted im on a school comp so maybe thats it for some reason
