Agreed. I was telling my wife how lucky we were to see the Avetts two years earlier in a small theater. It's like you are family it's so close and personal. Seemed the Avetts were a bit freaked out by the giant venue.

They should have bagged Dr. Dog and went with the Avetts and Wilco playing equal sets. It was obvious that the Avetts had nearly as big a following as Wilco with people in the rear mildly engaged in the Dr. Dog show. Sound system was brutal. By far the worst sounding Wilco or Avett Bros show I have ever seen. Just a gelatinous lump of bass. The Avetts even had massive feedback during one of their songs. Won't be going back to that place ever again. Give me the Mann or somewhere in Lehigh Valley, please.
