I don't remember if Jeff ever said "shitty" on the radio, but he definitely sang "fuck" during Ashes of American Flags.

Those are Jeff solo shows. What about the full band?
Edit: you must've caught that

Is that the live debut for Panthers?

Any thoughts on Split Single? I've followed Jason Narducy's career since he used to open for Bob Mould solo shows as Jason & Alison.
I thought they were great! Jason was in a very good and chatty mood. I heard the first single from their new album when it came out a couple of months ago, and will definitely seek out the album now.

The guitar that Nels used on Camera was awesome. It looked like something that an '80s hair metal band would use. Jeff gave it a "Look at that!" Pat and John also had some rather unique instruments for Camera. I never thought I'd ever hear that rendition of the song, it was great.

One last funny moment came in the leadup to I'm The Man... when Glenn was shaking his metal flappy noisemaker things (sorry, I don't know what they're called).

The Duane Allman guitar that Nels has borrowed over the last year for shows in Atlanta, Nashville, Austin, and St. Augustine (see below) did not have a Bigsby tailpiece on it like the one this Germany video does. I don't think it's the same guitar.
-
The audio/video quality of this recording is outstanding.
Anybody know why Nels' usual '59 Jazzmaster is nowhere to be found? (He's using the all black back up Jazzmaster throughout.) And when did he start playing that gold Les Paul?
-
-
Lots of people complaining about the poor video stream in the chat feature. Audio stream is excellent though.
-
PS On a side note only two from Yankee!..that's got to be a record low for a live show!
During their Chicago run last December, they played only one YHF song (Radio Cure) on night #3 at the Vic. But yes, two songs from YHF is extremely low and rare. Probably only going to happen during a multiple night run in the same city.
-
The clips are already up on the internet and Gina Gershon is still talking on Jimmy Fallon. How does that work?
(Yes, I know it was taped this afternoon, just surprised the clips are out before the show is over.)
-
They played Born Alone on Letterman, Whole Love on Conan, and Dawned on Me for the Conan web exclusive so all of those songs are out for Jimmy Fallon. On the Wilco facebook page, they posted a photo of the rehearsal, and Nels had the green Hopf guitar, Jeff had an SG, and Pat was at his keyboard station so I'm with Andrew, it's Capitol City. (Unless it's Art of Almost and Jeff picked up his guitar early before Pat came out from his keyboard station and picked up his Tele.)
Wilco — 12/8/14, Chicago, IL (Riviera Theatre) [Winterlude Night 3]
in After The Show
Posted
Some good banter from Jeff when he explained that "We're not playing every song we've ever recorded. Nobody said that! We did that already!" And also, "And we never said no repeats! If that's what you want go follow some other band that only plays eight songs each night." But he did allow that repeated songs will probably be played differently (e.g., with horns).
And how cool are the posters for this Winterlude!
