In lieu of my recent bad rap on this site, I thought I'd start a harmless thread about one of my favorite wilco tunes, "The High Heat". First and foremost, something about this song gives me the chills and makes me wonder, to my knowledge, why does this song get such little recognition and why has it never seen the light of a live show? Your thoughts VC community..

Man I get lectured every time I'm on this site lol. I'll pay it forward when I can assist someone's request. For the record I've only asked for two things, just trying to clear my name here guys, I'm not some internet pest, I hate those people. I'm simply and quite literally obsessed with Wilco, I have no other ulterior motives so please ease up with the advice guys. I appreciate your help though thank you so much. My one final question is did Wilco ever do a studio version of 'Let's Fight'? This is mere curiosity, not me begging for more music haha

I know there's posts that exist about this lost gem, but does anybody know if an actual studio version exists, or a good live version that's close enough to album quality? If so, any viable links to such material would be greatly appreciated =/. I love this song, but the version I have blows

Haha, SBS is not my favorite Wilco record but I absolutely love it nonetheless. It probably ranks either 3rd or 4th for me in terms of being my favorite, but that means very little considering I love every Wilco disc. I don't get why this album gets so much guff. I feel like it's meticulously crafted, and a fantastic blend of jammy emotional tunes and intricately arranged mournful ballads.

Wait, is this true? Yes, it is. That website is legit, pretty sweet album name. So excited for this; now a new Wilco album would make this a day of perfection =D

I don't know if they've ever been discussed on this website, but I feel that fans of Wilco (assuming everyone here is lol) should definitely check out The National if they haven't already. I feel few bands out there achieve the emotional integrity that Wilco do, and while I feel The National still have a ways to go to become as important as Wilco to me, or the world for that matter, they are a simply stunning band.

I feel like this album as a whole has a bad rap on this website, I'm so happy to see some appreciation geared towards it. This is coming from someone who can't really find anything wrong with most Wilco songs, but that having been said, I adore Sky Blue Sky. I can see criticisms of Wilco (The Album), but SBS is top notch in my mind. There's a handful of songs on this disc that have nearly brought me to tears before (Impossible Germany, Sky Blue Sky, On and On and On) plus straight up amazing rockers. Gahh, I'm gonna go put on Either Way right now haha

thank you, I apologize for any ruckus I may have caused =)...on live Wilco

Thanks for the help fellas

that would be lovely haha, thank you. I've purchased every bit of Wilco music I have, so I apologize for sounding like a pirating ass hole lol, but I do appreciate your help =)

does anyone know where I can locate a link to the Chelsea Walls soundtrack? I would love to purchase it, but unfortunately find myself in a great deal of debt, and the soundtrack is extremely difficult to track down anyway. Any torrent or zip file link would be wholly appreciated

I Am Trying To Break Your Heart (I'm Trying To Find It)

Awesome, thank you very much Speed Racer. I would appreciate your help cause I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to technology (dvd ripping, etc.) lol. Any help would be wholly appreciated. -
I'm sorry if this has been a thread already, but I've been scrounging the internet for an mp3 version of the opening song for the "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" DVD by Sam Jones. I realize that there are other acoustic versions of the song out there that exist, but the particular version playing in the opening credits of the movie gives me chills and I want it on my iPod more than anything. I've tried many things, so if anyone can help me, it'd be greatly appreciated! =)
