  1. I don't get filling sets with things like Hummingbird and such that he can't really arrange well for solo acoustic. The mid age crowd does not sing with him....

     

    Overall it was good show

     

    I don't know if the audience's age had anything to do with that. I've found that to be true of all concerts I've been to in Maine-- the audience doesn't go along with much. I was at a Decemberists show up in Orono last year and it was a very mixed crowd but the majority were college students. Everyone stayed in their seats until the 3rd time Colin Meloy asked them to get up and dance and sing along.

     

    I've lived in NY and Boston and never experienced such relaxed crowds. In one way it's nice (as I do get older!) but it's kind of weird in another. I was singing last night :)

    Nel's was playing a six string banjo that was probably tuned like a guitar. I'm pretty sure it was a banjitar, but y'all might have to check out any pictures people put up from the show.
