Am I wrong, or did they not already win one for A Ghost is Born?
-
was at 2011.09.18 Montreal.. Je vous merci énormément mes amie.

Yankee Hotel Toxtrot.
That's a good album.
-
Jay and Leroy together in Wilco were a force. Played off each other on the keys wonderfully.. fuck, YHF is a great testament to chemistry of those two.
-
I agree with this. But his performance in that Live at Pompeii film is rather powerful.. his scenes (performance) are the greatest thing about that film.

Wow. What a show!!!! Although I'd never have those professional angst-ridden bedwetters The National above Pavement on any bill (Although they aren't bad live.)
Ya, I don't consider them "above" on the bill..probably just a case of old 90's dudes...or old farts that need to get to bed before 9:00.. I can relate. Last time I saw that band live was 15 years ago.. holy shit I'm getting old, ha!
-
Get to see them live for the second time in two weeks.. tomorrow evening is Osheiga fest in hometown Montreal. Lineup = Pavement/The National/Arcade Fire. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday evening.
-
Thanks for the add! Checked out the other bands on the VC channel.. great stuff folks.

oops...that would be Pot Kettle Black
It's become so obvious ... that one is/was for Jay.
-
And the dude who brought his own spotlight because he's "super-sexy"...funny Jeff.
Brilliant show. Best live band in the world.

Mello's on the Byward Market does a great Smoked Meat Poutine.

"including late bassist Chris Feinstein".. oh man, I had no idea he had passed. Sad news.

I inherited all of my Mom’s original 60"s Beatles 45 singles when I was a kid... I remember being mesmerized by the sounds coming out of my little blue record player and that magical swirl of the Capital Record orange and yellow wave as it tuned on the turntable.. And then one day she threw them all out! Why Ma? Why!

David Vandervelde at the Cowboy Monkey in Champaign, IL on September 5th, 2009. On you tube!

That Epiphone Texan that Jay is holding up on the cover of Being There should end up in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. One of the best album covers ever!

Love and miss you Jay... Take this airline plane
It'll take you home again
To your home behind the skies .
XO,

Listening to "Genevera" from The Beloved Enemy.. Jay made some beautiful music...

Mar 18, 1997
It's on DVD Project Vol 2.
I remember seeing this live in 1997 on Much (when they still played real music). Turned me on to Wilco. Bob Egan's snow dive

You serve me
And I'll serve you
Swing your partners, all get screwed
Bring your lawyer
And I'll bring mine
Get together, and we could have
a bad time
It's affidavit swearing time
Sign it on the dotted line
Hold your Bible in your hand
Now all that's left is to
Find yourself a new band . . .
We're gonna play the sue me, sue
you blues
We're gonna play the sue me, sue
you blues
Hold the block on money flow
Move it into joint escrow
Court receiver, laughs, and thrills
But in the end we just pay those
lawyers theit bills
When you serve me
And I serve you
Swing your partners, all get screwed
Bring your lawyer
And I'll bring mine
Get together, and we could have
a bad time
We're gonna play the sue me, sue
you blues
I'm tired of playing the
Sue Me, Sue You Blues
