  1. http://mixonline.com/recording/tracking/audio_wilco/ Sorry in advance if someone else has already posted this...
  2. My bad. I did search first, but for some reason didn't stumble across this. Sorry for the repeat, everyone.
  3. Each week, Sports Illustrated interviews four athletes, asking them quick, sound-byte questions. For instance, a recent issue asked for "Best Tearjerker Movie", "Bottles of water I drank today", "I get the chills when I think of...". This week's issue one of the questions was "Wilco is..." along with a picture of W(TA). The four answers: "Unknown in my world", "I have no idea who that is", "No clue", and "I don't know". You gotta hand it to Sports Illustrated for trying, I guess. What does this ultimately tell us about Sports Illustrated, the athletes who were polled, or Wilco's popul
  4. I loved the DVD. Totally worth it. A couple of notes: 1. Jeff mentions that he thinks Belleville might have the longest Main St. in the U.S. A quick Google search turns up Main St. of Island Park, Idaho as the official winner in that category at 33 miles. 2. After Glenn's interview where he says how comfortable he is with this lineup of Wilco moreso than any of the other lineups he's been involved in, my friend and I turned to each other and said, "Oh, no! He's totally setting himself up to be the next guy kicked out of Wilco!"
  5. Two observations as I listen through the record for the 3rd or 4th time now: 1. Certain songs on this record cover a lot of similar sonic territory as the Loose Fur "Born Again in the U.S.A." record. There's a lot of moments that I notice with similar guitar tones, arrangements, harmonic structure, etc. 2. This is probably been mentioned on this board already, but the song "Sky Blue Sky" seems like a rehash of the song "Far, Far Away" from Being There (not lyrically, but certainly musically).
