Two new Counting Crows songs available on their website

ditto on the high school bit the eggman song was on the best of disc a few years back, i think it was called "films about ghosts". before then it was on the "flying demos" circa 1991, a demo cd of various songs with various line-ups but mostly made up of the people who recorded august and everything after, so i think it could be called a counting crows song, but you'll never hear them play it because apparently duritz hates it -
This is quite a weird topic for me. When I was about 16-17 I used to really like a genre that was supposedly Adult Contemporary, so that would include bands like: Dave Matthews Band Matchbox 20 Counting Crows Third Eye Blind Barenaked Ladies Well, you know the types, but now I've aged somewhat I just really don't get those bands anymore and I'm sure I'm more of an adult than I was back then, but who knows?

Just so you know, 1492 was written for Hard Candy but never made the final cut, I have no idea why because it's not a bad track at all. Also I believe another track from Sunday Mornings, entitled Washington Square was written for or just after Hard Candy, so I'm looking forward to hearing new songs! Michelangelo is not bad though . I hope this new double CD is a return to form because they are a great band, and considering they've not had an album out in 6 years, you've gotta respect their commitment to keep going. Also Adam Duritz has written some of the best lyrics put to music over -
Just been doing a little tally over at wilcobase and I'm really surprised by how many mainland Europe shows they've done this year. Here are my findings: australia - 5 us&canada - 49 europe mainland - 20 ireland - 2 uk - 5 That's just Wilco shows for 2007, nothing else. You might not think 5 shows is bad, and it's not, don't get me wrong but, 2 London gigs, 2 festival gigs (Suffolk and Somerset!!!! - not helping us northerners) and 1 in Glasgow - all the extremes. At least we've done a little better than 2006, 0 shows, so even though I never got to see them I'm not bitter. Maybe nex

It's great they got a team that looks capable of gaining league status (if all goes well) in the near future. Another thing I find interesting is, how much income the members of myfootballclub will generate in support of the club, it's a fascinating idea. There's huge competition in the conference, there always has been, but i think Ebbsfleet could make the play-offs this season. I only know one player, and that's Raphael Nade, he played for my home team Carlisle United in our two promotion seasons which were a couple of years ago now. He'll get a goal or two this season so I'd play him.

Personally I was hoping you guys would buy Halifax Town! Shay Stadium is a great ground that deserves better than conference football and rugby. Ebbsfleet is pretty cool though, just one thing i don't get is how you can pick the team. How does that work?

Yeah, Rock City, great venue! And speaking of Lincoln, that's where I was living at the time. Man, if I knew I could have crashed at the station things may have worked out better... could have slept in the photo booth! Once woke a bloke up in the one at Carlisle station, he wasn't too displeased when he realised I actually did want to use the machine and not just steal his bed!

Count me in! I missed the Nottingham show on the ghost tour, so now I'm doing all I can to make the Newcastle date. Nice to see more Northerners popping up round here!

I seriously considered going to Latitude this year, but alas, it proved just a bit too far to travel. What a stunning line-up though, I don't think you'll be disappointed mate and I'm sure Wilco will be amazing as always. I decided on Connect instead, a bit of Jarvis Cocker, Beastie Boys, Super Furries, Rilo Kiley and the two bands I admire the most, Big Star and Teenage Fanclub. What a great summer for British festivals! So where's everyone else going?

I am loving this album, can't stop playing it! Plus Ones must be one of the finest songs of this year. Found it on songmeanings.net after someone earlier in this thread mentioned it had a cool referrence, well it seems as though it has many great referrences. Such a clever song, and what a corker of an album.

Here you go... http://www.sendspace.com/file/7fuums Enjoy.

Not a bad little interview, although it was just Jeff, no other band mates unfortunately. He played solo versions of What Light and John Wesley Harding. I recorded it from the web stream so I'll try and upload it to sendspace sometime today for anyone who wants a listen.

Same here, CD+DVD and no extras. Seems as though the CD/DVD combo has no enhanced file, whereas if you buy just the CD, it does. Strikes me as being a little odd. Now who said something about hooking us up with the extras.mov? Seriously, I'm disappointed with this development.

carrying on with this theme... Sky Blue Sky has been the album of the day on BBC Radio 6 Music, which is nice.
