  1. parking might be an issue too.....there is a SMU-Acadia playoff game at the forum at 7, so I am hoping that won't be a big issue

i just hope the venue doesn't suck too bad, i saw Bad Religion there and it was dusty and awful

  2. Mar-03

    Halifax, 39

    Halifax Forum - Multipurpose Room

Kyle, where did you grab these dates from? wilcoworld.net lists just the "Halifax Forum" and not the multipurpose room, I think it originally had the multipurpose room listed but they've since changed it, which is a big difference (old school hockey rink vs a shitty spare room that is super dusty)

  3. I am still holding out for Wilco's triumphant return to Newfoundland - but alas most Canadian tours end in Halifax... sigh... It would be so awesome to see them at home! (Lot's of family to baby-sit the kiddos).

correction...most canadian tours end in montreal or quebec city ; )

they seemed to really enjoy themselves the last two times in halifax and fredericton so hopefully they'll make it a true canadian tour.

  4. I wasn't really sure how to judge the band's attitude during the show. Jeff said something at the end of the show like "we have one more song and then you'll get to see who you came here for." I was about 20 feet back on the floor so it was hard to tell how the crowd was really reacting. Maybe it was just me, but it seemed like the first lines of "via chicago" were a little stunning to alot of people around me. It was great to see them and I hope they come back again.

i was actually very impressed with the crowd, at the end of wilcos set the place was damn near full, which hardly happens at the metro center for the few concerts i've been to.......i thought they definitely should have closed with spiders to get everyone wound up, i thought that would have been perfect

on the other hand, it was damn near embarrassing to see the entire upper and lower bowl sitting when the lights came on for rockin' in the free world

  5. i finally might get to see the abyss!

when i got up on stage at the fredericton show to annouce the kingpin audience participation i whispered to jeff as i was leaving "where is this abyss that i keep hearing about"...he chuckled and said "i don't hear that anymore"

  6. what a show. we were sitting front row center and had a ball.

i was the one that was lucky enough to get called up for the kingpin speech and had so much fun doing it. as i was leaving the stage i pointed to the crowd and asked jeff "so where is this 'abyss' i keep hearing about?", he had a good laugh and said "i don't hear that anymore"

i went with three non-wilco fans (including the 6'4'' dude in the front row) and all of them loved the shows

i'll post some pictures when i get home tonight. if anyone has any pics of me on stage it would be really appreciated, i have 2 but none turned out that great.

  7. i thought the setlist was less then spectacular but it was a pretty good setlist considering probably 95% of the people there were seeing wilco for the first time. i'm a wheel was on the setlist but not played as a closer, but other then that every song on the setlist was played.

i was really impressed with the venue/stage/area, i wasn't expecting much out of the dartmouth ferry terminal but it was good.

  8. Wooooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooo! It's Wilco Wednesday! Today feels like christmas...going to do a drive-by of the venue :dancing :D :wub

amen to that....wilco wednesday, wilco thursday then a weekend in fenway....i've been looking forward to this week for a long while

  9. I'm hoping that the energy from the shows will keep them playing. Although I think both shows are gonna rock. I agree, the Freddy show will be extra amazing with only 700 ppl there. Where are your seats? We scored row F!

    front row center : )

and bad news to those behind me, i will be sitting with a dude thats 6'4'' 300lbs

  10. Nice, I've never been to that venue, 3000 should ensure that everyone still will be a reasonable distance from the stage. They mentioned limited seating will be available, I wonder where that will be. Anyway, I think I am more excited for the show in Freddy as the smaller, more intimate atmosphere will be great.

my thoughts exactly, i like the idea of seeing them in two entirely different venues on back to back nights

my only concern is the 5 shows in 5 days, might make for some shorter setlists especially with the long travel between some shows.

  11. there is a thread on the pre-sale/freddy concert over at http://www.jamhub.ca/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-...torder-asc.html

    http://tickets.com/customerservice/policies_faq.html

    Tickets.com policies:

    Pricing and Other Errors

If the amount you pay for a ticket is obviously incorrect, regardless of whether it is an error in a price posted on this web site or otherwise communicated to you, or you are able to order a ticket before its scheduled on-sale date, then we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to cancel your order and refund to you the amount that you paid. This policy will apply regardless of how the error occurred.

    All Sales are Final

All sales completed though Tickets.com are final. Our client venues do not allow us to refund or exchange any order once it has been confirmed, so please be sure you have selected the proper event and seat locations prior to completing your order. Once tickets are issued, they are like cash and will not be replaced or refunded if lost or stolen.

See the Terms of Use here - http://www.tickets.com/aboutus/user_agreement.html

  12. My guess is we'll all be getting an apology e-mail soon telling us they made an error and we'll be charged 41.50 as stated.

i am trying to jog my memory, did it say 41.50 on the site initally though?

  13. That was crazy, I was on to see how the fast the sales were going and I saw the $2 ticket price, had to snatch another pair up. Who would be liable for this error? My first guess is that tickets.com must have had a data entry error and it is their fault, but that is just a guess. Wonder what happens next? I would feel pretty crappy if any comes out of Wilco's pocket, but I doubt it will.

i would assume it would be tickets.com's fault. the prices were advertised as 41.50 i believe so I am assuming thats the price that wilco passed along, this has to be simply data entry error on tickets.com. and i would think it would make them liable

this will be neat to see play out

  14. i also got two tickets on "tickets.com" right at 10am ADT. I scored 2 in Row G / right side of right section (ok taping seat).

I am sure it will not take long for them to figure out the price issue.

did they charge you 2.00 per ticket as well?

and would seats 5,6,13 or 14 of row I be a better spot for taping?

  15. if i secure a good taping seat...yes

how did everyone make out? i got in right away and got ROW I, but then it said tickets were only 2 bucks plus shipping, so two tickets cost me 14.50.

I refreshed the window and they basically sold the place out in under 5-6 minutes, but I somehow pulled up 2 more row I seats so i bought them at 14.50.

It'll be interesting to see how the venue handles this, i am gonna put in a call

  16. I was able to get some tickets but I think they went SUPER fast. A friend was trying as well and got a message that 'there were no more available' pretty much the instant they went on sale. I got Center A seats 1-2 so needless to say I got pretty lucky...

i know officially know what a heart attack feels like

i logged in at like 9:59 and got on

i then scooped up FOUR front row seats

i then fill in all my details then when it asks for my CC verification number i click their "help" link to double check to see exactly what they are looking for. it opens and i close the pop up, but the pop-up turns out to be a tab in firefox and i close the whole window and ticket process, 4 front rows down the drain

i go to log back on and everything is sold out. so i keep reloading and reloading and finally get some tickets but I stupidly request 2 tix instead of the 4 i need, i end up seeing the tix i already had as they must have been put back in the system. so i reload again with 4 tickets hoping that they are all there and there is nothing there again. i feverishly set it back to two tickets and keep reloading, then 10 minutes later and finally get the same two tickets when they went back in the queue.

i just about passed out...sorry for the wordiness...slightly stressed
