Played at their Halloween show at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago—salute to the band and their city.

I had an amazing time at both shows, and was pleased with the varying song selection. I taped both nights and am very happy with the results. The Fillmore staff was super cool about taping, and didn't hassle me about being as close as I was to the stage. I loved the fact that Jeff called people out on disliking A.M. It's one of their best records, and until 2001, it's song listing accounted for 30-40% of the set lists. Met the band afterwards, and tried to throw out the idea of playing Las Vegas to Jeff and company. I had done this before and low and behold they eventually came to Vegas, twice. Jeff responded in absolute facetiousness by saying "I love Las Vegas, it's the last great American city", to which everyone laughed. Loved the poster they made for the Fillmore shows, and loved the Ramones-ish stickers even more. Anyone who has torrenting experience hit me up for the shows and I'll send them your way via snail mail. I don't know how to upload shows, but I should have both shows transferred by weeks end. Night 2 has literally zero audience as my mics were near the stacks near the front, about 10 feet from the crowd.

they've already headlined Red Rocks, the Roots opened for them. wether or not they can sell it out is another matter.
You're right, they did. Which makes me curious that they wouldn't sell out a least one night of a smaller venue like the Fillmore. More room for me, I guess.

And fill it? The Fillmore capacity is 4500 and they're playing two nights. Not sure what ticket sales are yet, but neither date is sold out. Red Rocks holds 9500. If they were at Red Rocks one night this weekend, instead of two nights at the Fillmore, I wonder how full it would be?
Thoughts?

Anyone else going to the show(s). This will be my first trip to Denver and first time at The Fillmore. I am really excited for this show!
Yup. Me and about 15 of my crew. The Fillmore is a solid venue

I hope I'm not being a pain (oh God been living in England too long!) but I missed the stream because it was in the middle of the night here and didn't get the email till the next morning. Would anyone please send me SBS or tell me how I can hear it at this point? I can handle FLAC or any other kind of files.

That's a good list, thanks. You the man/woman.

Could someone post a track list of all the Uncle Tupelo songs sung by Jeff? I'm interested in making a "Tweedy Tupelo" mix.
Cheers,

Just saw this:
Former Widespread Panic guitarist in talks with Black Crowes
Monday, September 11, 2006
By Anthony Blazer (ablazer@jamtunes.com)
Former Widespread Panic guitarist George McConnell has spent the last few days in discussion with Angelus Entertainment, the managing company for the southern rock band the Black Crowes, about joining the band as their lead guitarist. McConnell, currently residing in Mississippi after opting to leave Widespread Panic in early August, flew out to Los Angeles last Friday to meet with Angelus Entertainment representative Peter Angelus at the firm's Beverly Hills-based offices. Angelus could not be reached for comment, but a source within the firm has said that talks with McConnell went "extremely well" and that he is "confident a deal will be reached this week suitable to both parties".
McConnell would be replacing guitarist Marc Ford, whose attorney informed the band via fax two days before the start of the fall tour on September 7 that he was immediately terminating his agreement with The Black Crowes. This is not the first time Ford has left the band abruptly. He replaced original Crowes guitarist Jeff Cease in 1992 right before the band released their multi-platinum album The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion. Ford was fired immediately following the Further Tour in the summer of 1997. He rejoined the band in early 2005.
McConnell could also not be reached for comment regarding this situation, but a source within his representation agency has confirmed that he did visit Los Angeles last week to discuss his immediate future.

the one with the shakers is from the regulare demos. track 6.
the alt. version on the demos has the effects and distorted guitars track 18.
oh yeah and the alt version from the YHF demos is 3:46 and the version on the engineer demos is 3:35, so maybe the times will help to determine which are which, if you even have the engineer demos.
Seems like a lot of people have these demos. How do I get my hands on them?

Bout time they dropped Shot In The Arm from the setlist. Great song but they've been playing it every show for like ten years. Needs to get some shelf time for sure.
