I have a spare ticket that I am selling at face value + the service fees ($99 + $4 = $103). The show is on Saturday, October 9th at 7:30 PM at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts. Ticket is in PDF form, so I can either send it electronically in advance, or print it and meet you at the venue. Seat is in the Loge, Row T, Seat 4.

Hello everybody,
I've been out of touch with the Wilco scene for a little while now, but a few recent magazine articles, etc. have me curious about the direction of the next album. Are there links to any live versions floating around?
Much appreciated.

I have two general admission tickets to the show in Houston on May 6th that I can't use. The price with service charges is $68.
Please e-mail me at tynan.granberg@gmail.com if you are interested.
Just to clarify, the tickets are $34 each.

Flag1, any interest in carpooling from Flag down to Phoenix?
-
Oh, and they're both 5x5 rotisserie leagues with OBP instead of AVG.

I'm commissioner of two fantasy baseball leagues, both of which are short three managers. Is anyone interested in joining? Here are the formats:
ESPN 12-team mixed-league keeper
Yahoo! 10-team AL-only single season
So, any takers? The Yahoo! draft is tonight, while the ESPN draft will take place some time tomorrow...

Pardon my ignorance, but why not a straight soundboard of the show? Why the crowd noise?
-
Are there no soundboards of these shows?

Well, I was fairly close last night, and my pants are still crisp and dry! Hooray!
I settled on the "get super sweaty" technique that I've perfected at festivals...

Because behind all of the facades that everybody puts up, about 93% of people on this earth need reassurance from other people to make themselves feel like they belong and that they are liked. At least that is what the teacher said when I took a Psychology class.
93% of all statistics are made-up on the spot.

1.) How (if at all) do you get back to your spots right in front of the stage when you go to the bathroom?
a.) catheters
b.) dehydration
c.) nice/delusional people allowing you back through?
d.) tazers
e.) you don't worry about it because you've already wet yourselves from being so close to such incomparable performances

Just to clarify:
To get my 5-day pass, I just go to musictoday.com tomorrow at 10 CST and there will be some sort of link to the presale?

Anybody else ever feel like strangling Dan Bejar? On each new NP album, I know there will be at least three songs that I will automatically skip...

The only thing that stands out, to me, is how much the lyrics generally suck...

After a few more listens, I'm starting to come around. Keep the Car Running and Windowstill are pretty solid.

I second the Springsteen meets Talking Heads analysis.
I just don't get the same sense of exuberance that infused Funeral.

There are lossless and 320kbps versions on Oink now...

And as much as I love Tweedy, I can't stomach his harmonica, long drawn out version of Sunken Treasure, which on Being There is beautiful, haunting, and one of my all time favorites.
I couldn't disagree with you more. Have you heard the version from the 10/19/01 show in Boston? That's the definitive recording for me...
I can post it if anybody doesn't have it.

I only have 'Songs of Pain' and just can't get past the poor sound quality (this coming from a lover of early Mountain Goats). Are all of his albums as, ahem, "low-fi"?

This is one of the most pointless arguments I've ever had the misfortune to read
