Guest mshenkman
Anyone have the tabs for Radio King? Thanks, Mike
Guest mshenkman
best I could find (link below). It's close, but not right. I think Jeff is playing it capo 2 and the chords for the chorus are off. I'll post something if I figure it out. Until then, if you know the tabs, please let me in on the secret. Thanks http://www.guitaretab.com/g/golden-smog/7037.html

Thanks http://www.guitaretab.com/g/golden-smog/7037.html Actually, this tab is pretty much how I play it with the only exception being for the "pattern #2" I play an Em instead and hammer on the A string. I don't think there is a capo involved. YMMV. Lance
Moss
Yay, our band is going to do this song. Thanks for the head start on learning it. I will let you know if I come up with anything different from this tab.
Sparky speaks
I think the second hammer on in the intro and outro posted above are not what he is playing here......Can't get it to sound the same.......any help? In the above video, he appears to play the intro with a G chord shape with a hammer on/off the 2nd fret G string.......Then he appears to use an A minor chord shape and again hammers on/off again on the 2nd fret G string.....That is the closest I can get......Nothing like the intro in the tab posted above IMO......Comments? Moss
I was playing it before with just the G shape with the hammer ons and then an Em shape with the hammer ons. After watching this video it seems like he goes to a C shape when he does the hammer ons off the G chord. What I'm doing sounds exactly right to me. Pretty sure if you just do G to Em and hammer on the same strings (D and G strings) it sounds good. I will try to tab it out as my explanation really stinks.
Sparky speaks
That C shape becomes an A minor when you do the hammer ons/offs......I kinda like the sound blend using the A minor or C shape if you will......I think it sounds the closest.......Thanks
Moss
That C shape becomes an A minor when you do the hammer ons/offs......I kinda like the sound blend using the A minor or C shape if you will......I think it sounds the closest.......Thanks It does but I leave my ring finger on the A string C note so it feels like a C to me. Really I was just switching between G and Em for the verses and if you strum it right it sounds perfect. Either way, sounds like you got a handle on it! Great song! anthony
Can I take a stab at this? Take a look here and let me know what you think. I think the sweetest part of the song is the walking bass in the chorus.
