Nonlinear Nonfiction
Seeking some advice... How can I make an audio CD that will work in my stereo without using Itunes or toast etc... I want to burn discs using just my finder...should I just number the .aiff tracks 1, 2, 3, etc. and burn it as is? Also, can I leave the title of the track in the filename? (I'm using Mac OSX) Thanks for the help!
socbret
I guess it really just depends on if your stereo can read .mp3 files (I'm not sure how many steroes read the .aiff files, and it's easy to go and convert them using iTunes). If you are using OSX and simply drag the files into the burn folder, technically what you are doing is the same as creating a data cd in itunes. If you don't mind me asking, why are you trying to avoid using iTunes?
Nonlinear Nonfiction
Thanks, I'm just going to do some trial and error here I think. I'm only trying to do this to speed up the process...I have a lot of discs to burn and precious little time to burn them. copying them into my itunes library, making a playlist and burning it, then deleting the files and playlist from the itunes library just isn't fun anymore. My advice would be Burn. It's a free alternative to Toast and it works pretty well.http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net/
socbret
Oh OK, I gotcha now. Yeah, try what Josh said, I used to use that program and it worked well.
