socbret
Anyone have or know someone who own's one of these two cameras? They are basically the same besides body. I'm the kind of person that would pay $150 more for the Leica brand if they weren't impossible to find. What's your opinion on it?
TROUTC
I too have been debating the differences in the cameras. I think in the end I would pay a little more for the Leica body style. Here is a review, if you need one. http://www.dpreview.com/news/0609/06091408leicadlux3.aspAlso check out Flickr where you can search for photos taken with either camera and compare the results. Good luck,Chip
c53x12
I've read a lot of reviews of the Lumix cams, and the overall impression I was left with was "great lenses, average image processor." The Canons seem to routinely beat the Lumix models.
kathyp
I don't know digital cameras from my left foot, but Leica's film cameras are some of the best around.
socbret
Also check out Flickr where you can search for photos taken with either camera and compare the results.I'm one step ahead of you on that. Something I've realized though is that the Leica owners tend to take better shots and/or have spent more time learning the ins and outs of the camera. I'm trying to figure out if there's any actual differences in the performance of the optics and chip.
