farva
I just spent a few minutes searching for a thread that I swear I saw recently where someone mentioned this album, basically wondering what it was. It looks like it's a collection of reggae tunes from the Trojan Records vaults, chosen by Johnny Greenwood (yes, that Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead fame and fortune). You can find some more info here: http://trojan.sanctuaryrecords.com/ Also, Pitchfork has a review up and here is the tracklist: 1. Dread Are the Controller - Linval Thompson2. Let Me Down Easy - Derrick Harriott3. I'm Still in Love [12" Mix] - Marcia Aitken4. Never Be Ungrateful [12" Mix] - Gregory Isaacs5. Bionic Rats - Lee "Scratch" Perry6. Cool Rasta - The Heptones7. Flash Gordon Meets Luke Skywalker - Scientist & Jammy & The Roots Radics8. Black Panta - Lee "Scratch" Perry9. Fever - Junior Byles10. Beautiful and Dangerous - Desmond Dekker, Desmond Dekker11. Dread Dub - Lloyd's All Stars12. Gypsy Man - Marcia Griffiths13. Ruffer Version - Johnny Clarke, Johnny Clarke14. Right Road to Dubland (Right Road to Zion Dub) - Jahlights15. Dreader Locks - Junior Byles, Lee "Scratch" Perry16. This Life Makes Me Wonder - Delroy Wilson17. Clean Race - Scotty From what I've listened too so far it's a solid, if slightly downtempo, set of reggae - good stuff!
socbret
I only associate Johnny Greenwood with playing harmonica on Terror Twilight.
