I know there are not many UK based people here but is anyone else going to Latitude this weekend?

I'll be at the front for Wilco, 8pm tomorrow night, wearing the grey 'rising hard' cock t-shirt.

Can't wait, also hoping to catch Cake, the Hold Steady, Arcade Fire, CSS, CYHSY, the National.

Does anyone else think that it is a crime against music that Wilco are beneath Damian Rice?

Leaving London after work tonight. Can't wait.

I seriously considered going to Latitude this year, but alas, it proved just a bit too far to travel.

What a stunning line-up though, I don't think you'll be disappointed mate and I'm sure Wilco will be amazing as always.

I decided on Connect instead, a bit of Jarvis Cocker, Beastie Boys, Super Furries, Rilo Kiley and the two bands I admire the most, Big Star and Teenage Fanclub.

What a great summer for British festivals!

So where's everyone else going?

Was looking at Latitude but ended up going for Indian Summer Fest in Glasgow instead, cheaper Ryanair flights from Dublin.

Wilco are headlining on the Saturday night.

Was hoping to see Roskilde setlist to get an idea if they're festival setlist has changed much since the last Europe fests but so far no joy.

Teenage Fanclub at Connect? Theres a special guest to be announced for Indian Summer on Main Stage Saturday evening around 6 or 7 so since its in Scotland maybe Teenage Fanclub????

i was tempted by latitude, but there weren't enough draws for me (having already seen wilco in spring). some wilco-sceptic friends went, so i forcefully suggested they watch wilco and, y'know, get some taste.

i'm going to green man, mainly for bill callahan, lilac time, euros childs, battles, fridge, gruff rhys, stephen malkmus. also, it's the most chilled-out festival i've been to.

Well, I got back yesterday. Wilco were absolutely fantastic, blew every other act off the stage that night. I was right at the front enjoying it, loads of people around me had never seen them before and were raving and raving after the show. Judging by the amount of T-shirts they sold, they made plenty of new fans over the weekend.

Highlights were Spiders, Shot in the Arm and Side with the Seeds which had some really amazing guitar work from Nels. He was on much better form that the first night in Shepherds Bush when I saw them last. Whenever there was a Nels solo the big screens at the side would focus on his hands and the whole crowd would turn to watch the screens.

Via Chicago, IATTBYH brilliant as well.

Here are some photos. These are my photos.
