Chendizzle Posted October 18, 2007 Share Posted October 18, 2007 I just saw the recently released War Made Easy: How Presidents and Pundits Keep Spinning Us to Death, released by the Media Education Foundation, a non-profit out of Northampton, MA and it was excellent. The movie is based on Norman Solomon's book, and he acts as the only talking head present in the movie. The movie attempts to deconstruct the propaganda that US Presidents have fed us every time a war is looming and shows how once the momentum kicks in, how hard it is to stop. It also really shows how complacent the media was in the build up to Iraq - it was a fucking national disgrace. I don't know how widespread the release is, but give a shot if you have the chance. All I have to say is now that we have penetrated the myth surrounding Iraq, we need to keep our eyes on the situation with Iran. The players are in place and the stage is being set once again.
