Yeah me too, Lions is a horrible screenplay with absolutely nothing new to say to anyone. It's a day late and a dollar short, just a bad movie. It feels like a play, and not in a good way. Preachy, wears it's script/emotion on it's sleeve, and again nothing new. THe potential, as with most movies these days, is completely there, and this being the return of United Artists, wow these folks can not look me in the eye and say that this is a return to form. Especially in Hwood last night, where everyone was pooring out after the screening, making damn sure they had the right emotion slapped on their face so no one could tell what they really thought, I'm not sure I've ever seen a movie that made me not want to make movies anymore. We skipped the after party and went home.

i work at a theater and watched about half of it and it was just ridiculously boring. understand, i love dialogue. but i hate pointless dialogue. and this film was full of it. i think we had about 20 people come see it total yesterday and today (granted, i went home early today, so may people may have shown up for the afternoon shows). hopefully everyone considering seeing it will just stay away.

perm, you make films? we need to have a big discussion from one filmmaker to another.

I've always liked Redford more as a director than as an actor--to these eyes, Quiz Show is one of the richest American movies of the last 15 years--and so was very much looking forward to Lambs. But the trailer did not look promising, and then the reviews started coming in...

I'll probably still see it (with an open mind), but it's no longer a top priority.
