Its a mini album (7 songs) based around the novel Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. It features Ben on acoustic guitar, Rick Steff on accordion, and Todd Beane on pedal steel. 1. There wasn't much doubt in my mind that I would dislike it, but this is exactly what I wanted a Ben Nichols solo album to sound like.
