Analogman
I could easily do something like this, but am reluctant as it seems like something the band would not approve of. I mean, if they wanted to make this a downloadable show, they would have, right? Also, the QuickTime stream is very highly compressed, not exactly archive quality. Would appreciate input from a moderator... That is my take on it. But - there have been such shows shared before. Some of them seem to make their way to BT sites, some get put up, and then taken down. Some of the shows are up at The Wilco Archive, but that is because they have were given to us directly. I have noticed that a lot of the same people ask for such rips every time there is a roadcase or webstream show released. I am curious as to why they have not learned how to record the shows themselves. Personally, I am satisfied with AUD shows. We are lucky that Wilco allows taping and trading. I do, however, recognize that some people are not satisfied with AUD shows, and want something else.
Livin' in New Orleans
Well, if the band wouldn't approve then I can't complain.. hopefully it stays on the website for a while!

After listening to this recording, I am even more convinced it is one for the ages. Hope this soundboard recording gets officially released in its full audio glory someday. I can see the argument from both sides, however, Wilco have choosen to put it out there into the ether, for free. if somone did choose to rip it and share with fellow fans, trade or whatever Wilco are not loosing out. Its a fan thing amongst here, we already have all the records. Wilco have not specified that it isnt to be ripped, in my opinion its no different to recording a gig broadcast on the radio, this just happens to be Wilco.fm Thats just my take, however I am biased seeing as i was there, it was THE best gig I've ever been to, well hang on that can only be another good reason,
