Walter Mitty
I am a rusty writer trying to get started again, and a frequent lurker on this site. I am completely new to the whole blogging thing, and probably old fashioned since most of what I post is text. This forum seemed like a good place to start looking for constructive feedback. I welcome your comments. Thanks. http://dearjefftweedy.tumblr.com
myboyblue
I would recommend losing the "Dear Jeff Tweedy" piece.

Walter Mitty
this isn't creepy at all LOL. I was on the fence about whether this was creepy, so put in the disclaimer. But you are right. I think when things are written anonymously they are higher on the creep factor than when there is a real by-line. Right now the writing part of me is an alter-ego, so I have to work on that... I would recommend losing the "Dear Jeff Tweedy" piece. Made some changes, and will see how it sits... Thanks. I get it.... it's kind of a nice idea. dunno if Jules above is being sarcastic, and i suspect that he is, i didnt think it was creepy. but using initials for names is annoying. wht not use fake names? Ok. Will try that.
Good Old Neon
I like what I’ve seen. I’m especially fond of the Wallace reference – and I agree, I think Tweedy’s lyrics touch upon many of the same themes explored by Dave – loneliness, addiction, solipsism or the flight from, the desire to communicate authentically and sincerely, etc. I’ve often wondered if Jeff is familiar with or a fan of Wallace. Anyways, I’ve bookmarked your site and will check back frequently – good luck!
Guest Runaway Jim
solipsism Whoa, that's a new one to me. I think this DFW guy sounds way to intelligent for me, but I'm intrigued. I gave my brother Infinite Jest for his birthday, and he just said "Fuck. Seriously? This is a chore, not a gift."

(If you say you like the poetry of Matthew Dickman, too. I'd think you have exquisite taste in words.) Have you read this old article in Rolling Stone about DFW? http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/23638511/the_lost_years__last_days_of_david_foster_wallace
