cgphoto
The show was excellent. We only caught the last Califone song (Giving Away the Bride) and it was really cool.I've only seen Wilco twice before, but I can say this was the best show yet. The entire band seemed to be in fine form. They hadn't played Saskatoon since 1997, when they came through with the Tragically Hip's traveling Canadian music festival, Another Roadside Attraction. Jeff made mention of this and even referred to the audience as "fresh meat" when we didn't hit the screaming cues in one song. I was kind of embarrassed that we as an audience were so, um, polite... but we really warmed up to the band in the last half of the show, and I think Wilco really enjoyed playing to a room full of people who, for the most part, were newbies. Also, the fact that everyone was sitting in their seats until the encore probably didn't help the energy level. Anyway, I loved the show and the setlist was excellent A photo from the intro to Heavy Metal Drummer. Here are the songs I can remember, they are NOT in order and the list is not complete. Any editing would be appreciated. I Must Be High Really? If so, that'd be one they haven't done in quite a while (the second night of the residency, according to Wilcobase, and then before that not as a band since before Nels and Pat joined). That'd be a nice little nugget! Thanks for the report. Glad someone made it to Saskatoon. Really wish I had been able to. Oh, and I think your picture is actually from the intro to I'm The Man Who Loves You.

And yes, Tweedy let us know that they hadn't played I Must Be high in a long time.
