becktrader
This should be of interest to the band... So Pitchfork (via You Ain't No Picasso and TwentyFourBit) posted three fan-made live videos to YouTube. As of right now, they have been removed. Not by Wilco, but by WARNER MUSIC GROUP for copyright infringement. WTF?? http://pitchfork.com/news/42999-watch-wilco-play-two-new-songs-live/ Click the links, WMG is claiming copyright infringement on songs they don't even have the rights to! And interestingly, this fan video of "Box Full Of Letters," also from Solid Sound, they have no problem with:Moderator edit: Wilco doesn't allow the videotaping of live shows, so Via Chicago doesn't allow direct linking to videos of live shows. tinnitus photography
i'd heard the new stuff was taken down, and assumed it was Wilco's wishes (after all, there were plenty of 'please don't videotape' signs scattered around...weird that Warners is involved.

Aha, I think I figured this one out. Even though Wilco is done with Nonesuch, his PUBLISHING as of the last album was still through Warner/Chappell, part of WMG: http://www.warnerchappell.com/featured/featuredwriters.jsp You have to search for "Tweedy, Jeff" in the little Flash box to see his publishing. Looks like some unreleased titles in the mix! So, it appears Wilco -- or at least Warner/Chappell -- requested the takedowns.
