PopTodd
I've had many of my own songs already covered by other (unknown) performers, who did so just because they like the tunes and wanted to have a go at them. Flattering as hell and, it gives me encouragement that maybe there is something to it. Maybe I have a shot? So, at the urging of my family and friends, I am thinking about going into songwriting for other folks; pitching my own songs to established performers that I have already written.Any of y'all do it? Have you had any success? Any tips? I've already put in my first call to an entertainment lawyer/agent who has represented "several successful acts" (the words of our mutual friend who referred me to him). So, we'll see how that goes. Lammycat
Just don't pitch them to Neil Diamond.
