jgriff
Anyone know all the players joining Dave and Gillian? Here's what the website says...."Featuring members of Gillian Welch, Punch Brothers, Led Zeppelin, and a former member of Old Crow Medicine Show, the Fall 2013 Machine will provide a night of distinctive picking, high lonesome songs, and many other fine acoustic entertainments." John Paul Jones would be the Zep member. Got my ticket for the Atlanta show.
blureu
Willie Watson is my guess for former Old Crowe. Especially since he was part of the Machine shows previously.Got my ticket for the Athens show.
jgriff
would be sweet if chris thile is one of the punch brothers joining them. should be a great show.
Vacant Horizon
I'll be at Atlanta. Looking forward to JPJ. That'll just be crazy. I wonder if he is producing Dave or Gillian? They really need to put out some music. Harrow & Harvest was disappointing after such a long wait. Especially after she's written some killer songs for others.
jgriff
Yea harrow was a bit spotty but Hard Times is one of my favorite GW songs. Hope to hear some of her tunes at the show.
anthony
I saw DR & GW a year or two ago in support if Harrow. Phenomenal. Wish I could see a Machine show,

Vacant Horizon
Last night in Atlanta was great. Definitely a 'traveling revue' vibe. Most folks stood up, so we sat off to the side. Playing and harmonies were perfect. Loved hearing most of Rawlings album as well as a few Gillian numbers. Also loved hearing Dylan's Billy and Queen Jane as well as Long Black Veil and the Weight. With John Paul Jones they attempted Goin' to California. Not too bad. I wish they'd pull together a new album soon. Even covers would be great. They would do justice to any old trad tune, Dylan, Neil Young or even Wilco, for that matter.
