  1. Have to say I am a more than a little po'd as ticketmaster is not allowing print at home nor is it allowing me to transfer my e tickets.  as I have extras I want to sell it is really annoying.  anyone have any suggestions?

also, Wilco, if you are reading this please avoid the Beacon and tickmaster in the future.  thank you

  2. I get a kick out of reading the complaints on the dead.net reply thread that always follows a new Dave's Picks announcement - that ask for something in the 80s. Deadheads can get so crabby!

i have a whole bunch of soundboards and good auds from my show going days on my ipod, maybe not as cleaned up as the picks but its the dead after all.  perfection was never the goal.

  3. i thought NRBQ was fairly terrible.

if they are gonna book a local act, Chris Corsano needs to be in the discussion, in whatever capacity or configuration.

different strokes.  for my money Wilco and NRBQ are two of the best live bands out there right now, but nuthin's for everyone

  4. I had no idea they previously played Hoodoo. Nor was I aware they played in a band with Gordon. Thx for the info!

GRAB:  Gordon, Russo,Anastasio and Benevutto  opened up for Phil and Friends one summer some years back.  Caught 3 or 4 show that summer and was surprised that GRAB played pretty much the same set every night

  5. bring back NRBQ.  rediscovered them at the last SS and have seen them 5 or 6 times since then and boy do they bring it.  every show unique and top notch.  would also love to see Lucinda or bob Weir headline Sunday,

  6. great review dvigs.  thought the show was excellent myself.  not really a big fan of mmj, but I can see why people dig them.  great energy and jim james has some serious vocal chops.  thought wilco stole the show.  initially I was concerned that we wouldn't get enough wilco, but I have to say the set they played worked and while I could have used more wilco, in the end I felt that it was a solid set and I was more than satisified.  I was also happy that they played songs that they didn't get to at solid sound lilke handshake.

was wondering how dylan was going to follow such a solid act and have to say the old boy held his own.  his band sounded tight as a drum and he was in good form last night.  my guess is having such solid opening acts inspired him.  kind of like  bob's version of "get off my lawn you whippersnappers"

great moement when he has jeff and jim come up duriong his set and he had a hearty handshake for both of them as they exited the stage

another thing I noted was both mmj and wilco had headliner volume going during their sets which is not usually the case for opening acts.  kudos to bob for letting them do their things and not sabotaging their sound.

I wonder if bob ever checks out the openers sets?

lastly, in the shameless plug dept. if any of y'all are in the Bridgeport area tonight my band BigFoot County will be at BRYAC tonight.

    peace

    Eric
