  1. Thanks for the heads up on the wilcoworld shop drop, I missed out on that on Monday and even contacted Matt Jacobson personally to see if he had any artists prints available, to which he said no, I have to go through Wilco store. Kind of a shame they made so few of such a beautiful print, for their homecoming show. Wilco usually is not in the business of trying to limit merch for flippers to have a hay day.

  2. I have 1 ticket available for Saturday night that I can trade you for a Monday ticket. Would I be able to purchase an additional Monday ticket from you? I need a pair for Monday, unfortunately, I only have my own single to trade for the Saturday 12/6 show.

    Let me know. sile3302@allstate.com

  3. If anyone has an extra single for the Saturday 12/6 show they can part with, I am looking for one for my wife. My dumbass had two tickets in the cart and when putting the credit card info in, I hit the back button and I missed out on getting a pair of tickets and was left with 1 single. Please let me know if you can help me out, happy to pay face + fees, and buy you a beer at the show! :guitar

    Thanks and Cheers!

    Jeff

  4. I picked up the single yesterday with a $4 off for the record.  No idea if it is colored or not.  Honestly what's the difference?

According to http://tweedy.kungfustore.com/ the difference is $10.00, and the limited edition is yellow/orange swirl. Sure they'll sound the same. I'm a vinyl freak however, and get excited about limited releases, especially releases that involve a favorite artist or band. I really want to support Tweedy more by buying from their pre-sale site, but Kung Fu ruins that with gauging shipping prices. Anyone can pre-order the LP from Amazon for $25 without having to worry about shipping costs, so there's really no incentive to pre-order it from the Tweedy store unless you want a contest entry or wanted to bundle with a t-shirt or tattoo?

  5. So I was finally getting around to pre-order the album today from wilcoworld.net.

The Limited Edition Colored Vinyl is $35

    Cheapest Shipping Option $13.05

    $48.05 for limited edition Sukierae???

Is this some kind of joke, or does this come with the Beatles Mono albums??? I can justify $35 for a limited edition vinyl from an artist I love, but $13.05 shipping!!!???

  6. Has anyone heard any additional info on when these reserved tickets might go on-sale? I've been keeping my ears peeled on XRT for any type of announcement, but haven't heard any updates. I would guess these should go on-sale soon?

  7. I was kinda discouraged with the beginning of the set, same exact 10 songs to start the show in Milwaukee, obviously I knew the trend had to be broken at somepoint, I know they get into setlist trends, but I thought 10 songs was kinda a bit too predictable... I really hope they kinda mix-up the early part of the set over the next few shows here in Chicago. That being said, you'll never hear me complain about getting too much of Misunderstood. Pot Kettle Black was a definite highlight for me, and obviously the second encore was EPIC. Great Chicago crowd....you could immediately tell Wilco was on their stomping grounds from crowd reactions to songs new and old. Very stoner friendly crowd as well, I was shocked that so many people were puffin, let alone risking it in the Opera House. That never bothers me, I just prefer not to puff at shows anymore. BIg thanks to Wilco for making their show posters available in the wilcoworld store the day after, posters were long gone by the time we got to the Opera House. I was super-bummed when I saw how beautiful they were, and thankfully, I won't have to wait long to have one. Ready for Round 3 tonight!

  8. Now I'm kinda nervous because I never got an email about credit cards for the Vic show, and I have no idea which card I used to buy them, let alone if I still have it....

Civic OH and Riv I bought through wilco pre-sale, so no worries there, but Vic I bought through jam/Etix. Maybe I should email them?

  9. Jason Thomas just announced on XRT, there will be an "Ultimate Wilco Announcement and Update" tomorrow morning on Lin Brehmer's show at 7:30am

There is no definite confirmation of a 5th show, but there "MAY" be.... Thomas said the announcement will explain the rumors, and give out info for the future plans of the band.

    The suspense increases.....

  10. Listened to Kicking Television yesterday, man that was a helluva week of shows. Anyone hear of rumblings for a 4th Chicago show yet? Eagerly awaiting...

Just heard on XRT.... Lin Brehmer will have a very special announcement regarding Wilco tomorrow morning. "stay tuned to see what happens next in the exciting Wilco run in Chicago"

All signs point to another new venue, because Frank E. Lee made a point to mention that all 3 shows have sold-out instantly, despite being in completely different and exclusive venues.

Hmmm my guess.... Old Town School of Folk, Metro, or Park West. I just can't imagine Lincoln Hall, although it would be incredible.

  11. Got 2 @ 26 minutes after...in the waiting room until 10 after, then tried and not enough tix avail, then sold out, then only singles, then sold out again, then two came up...THANK YOU WILCO GODS!

    ditto.... Milwaukay--->Civic Opera Haus--->Riv. BONG!

That is because they played 2 shows in a 9,000 seat venue. And Jeff's was a benefit, costing a bit more money than a normal concert.

Between the Civic Opera house and the Riviera we're talking about 6,000 total.

I hear ya, but technically, they were in Chicago ;)

  12. I tried to get on the presale website for today to check out the price, and it put me in a virtual waiting room. So now you have to wait 10 minutes before tickets even go on sale. I think if Lady Gaga toured with the Jonas Brothers and 2Pac it would be easier to get tickets than a Wilco show in Chicago.

Wilco didn't sell out either show last time they were in Chicago, neither did Jeff for that matter.

  13. Yeah, I got the email. I was happy to receive it though--I responded that I'd rather the box set ship sooner. I didn't buy it for the damn sticker.

I figured to might as well wait. I chose the free standard shipping, so needless to say I really didn't expect it to arrive on Saturday anyways. I can deal with a couple day wait, luckily there is a bunch of other goodies to hold me over on Saturday.

  14. Did everyone just get the email from Kung Fu/Wilco Store that these box sets will not be shipping until next week (April 19-25) now?? The stickers are not ready. :angry WTF??? Great "pre-sale", still happy to get it hassle free though. Often times, waiting is the hardest part.

Due to a delay in sticker manufacturing, there has been a delay in our ship date for the Wilco Kicking Television Live in Chicago LP Box Set. All orders for this product will ship out early this upcoming week (April 19-25) with the sticker that is promised on our website. If you would rather not receive the sticker in order to have your box set shipped sooner, please let me know.

I really appreciate your patience. To apologize for the delay, all orders will also come with an additional Wilco sticker.

    Kind Regards,

    Annick
