Has anyone noticed that lack of Chicago shows that the band and Tweedy have been playing? Yes, there was Lollapalooza, but aside from that the band/Tweedy haven't played a Chicago in over a year--that's my best guess.

Why? This seems longer than any gap before this.

I used to play the song(one of my favorites) like how you described, but I think it sounds with better liket his. Try it. It might make it easier for you to figure out what you are shooting for.

Hey all

I am trying to equip my laptop(a new Gateway notebook) with a home studio.

I was wondering what I would need to do that? I don't want anything to fancy. I just want to be able to record vocals, a couple of guitar tracks, maybe a harmonica or keyboard, and then be able to mix that and to burn it.

What would I need to do that?

Misunderstood and Via Chicago are both easy to play.....try starting with those 

California Stars: Capo on second Fret, G, D, C

Via Chicago: C, G, F.

Poor places: Capo on third Fret, G, D, Em, C, A7, C

Late Greats: D, G, D, G, and so on.

I am trying to break your heart: Capo on second fret: A, Em, D

playing an open mic saturday...really want to play this song acoustically from the 1/9/03 show but i cant figure it out...any help would be great...thanks

I think it is a capo on the first fret,a nd the chords are E, A and Bm. It is pretty easy to figure out the progrssion after that. I played it at an open mic last year this way and it sounded great. good luck!
