  1. I was just kidding. Just trying to scam 50+ DVDs :)

    Just reading your previous post and I thought "oh man I'm I ever going to hook you up!", then of course I see you're kidding. :stunned

    I think I owe you a beer though, so next show we hit up together :cheers It's not 50+ DVDs, but hey, free beer!

  2. That California Stars sing along that Jeff said was requested by Keith and Debbie, well that's me and my girlfriend. It was very nice of Sue to go around and ask the people in line what they wanted to hear before the show. And thankfully we got in line early enough to be there for that.

    Amazing, amazing show!

  3. Where should I eat tonight before the show? I want to be able to get in line about an hour early, so I can try to get some good seats in the Baclony, too. I'm in from MPLS - any advice for me and the lady (food nearby that we can jump in line right away?)

    The Chicago Diner is maybe 10 or 15 minutes walk from there (3411 N. Halsted Street). Great place if you like vegetarian and vegan food. Here's their site: http://www.veggiediner.com/

  4. I hope everybody has a great time tonight for the Friday the 13th show! My girl and I will be there for Valentines Day. It's an expensive V-Day for me this year. Since we're traveling to the show tomorrow, I had to buy flowers today (don't forget the flowers indeed!). And if all goes according to plan I'll be buying her one of these for dessert tomorrow too:

    This will be my 10th Wilco/Jeff Tweedy show! 5 in Chicago, 2 Detroit, 1 London Ontario, 1 Toronto, 1 Austin Texas. And every single one of them was great!

  5. Already ordered our $100 tix, oh well. Now fingers crossed TM gets them to me in time! I'm totally going to spoil my girlfriend to a nice dinner at the Chicago Diner before the show too. And maybe, just maybe, I'll take her for a quick stop into Macy's for a few minutes of browsing - we don't have one of those in the part of Canada where we're from. Happy Valentine's Day indeed!

    If I don't make it for the line up when you're around, could you please count two requests (me and my lady) for California Stars? Thanks! :cheekkiss

  6. Ordered 2 tickets Friday night (hope they come in time!), then booked a flight from Detroit (crossing over from Windsor, Canada), and lastly I booked a sweet 4 star hotel (through Hotwire). This reminds me of last year's Winter Residency, when for some dumb reason I found myself with a couple extra bucks and some time off in February. Hit 4 shows of that. But this time we can only make it for the Saturday show. I have no idea how much this trip will cost me, but needless to say my girlfriend is very very impressed when I said I had a great Valentine's day present for her this year!

  7. Just saw this on the CBC, and not quite surprised you guys knew all about this. And while this initially got me very excited, all I can think now is holy shit are those tickets ever expensive!

    For Toronto:

    Ticket Price:

    $250.00 CAD for Price Level 1

    $99.00 CAD for Price Level 2

    $76.75 CAD for Price Level 3- GA Floor

    Ticket price includes a $1.75 CAD facility fee

    Guess $76 for standing on the floor behind 10000 people isn't too bad, except I'm kinda short. Those $250 tickets better be really good.

  8. I liked the "Box Full Of Lecords". :lol

    I second the "Box Full of Lecords".

    :thumbup

    I'll loved this one because, although it was funny, it still had the quality of an anecdote one tells at a cocktail party ("hahaha, so, this one time, my wife Susie, hehe, she said, hahahaha") that leaves the storyteller roaring and everybody else flat.

    For no particular reason I decided to try my crappy little digi cam's video feature at that point. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcT7zhaxEfg

  9. 5 shows, going to be 9 after adding 4 Residency shows.

    June 21 2005: Meadow Brook Music Fest - Rochester Hills, Michigan (w/ My Morning Jacket!);

    September 25 2005: Zilker Park - Austin, Texas - ACL Fest (man was it ever hot!);

    July 08 2006: Centenial Hall - London, Ontario;

    June 30 2007: Massey Hall - Toronto, Ontario;

    October 17 2007: Fox Theatre - Detroit, Michigan;

  10. Does anyone here have an opinion of the Chicago Diner? Last time I was in Chicago (for NYE 2006) my girlfriend and I tried to go there but it was totally packed and there were lots of people waiting to get in - which I took as a good sign. Since both she and I are vegetarians (I'm actually vegan - gasp!) I'm interested in checking the place out while we're in town for the Residency. Any reviews of the place/menu would be appreciated.
